Another scorching day, its heat had never really been appreciated by the albino boy who was currently clambering over some rocks. His parents worried that the blue-eyed boy, whose pale skin and white hair had baffled scientists, would be hurt but although he looked like an albino - save his brilliant blue eyes - he was as healthy as any other boy his age. He loved exploring new places and even at 17 he still enjoyed the thrill of it. Jack Frost, world explorer; it had been his dream as for long as he could remember. Though he never told anyone, he also hoped to find fairies and dragons too. Unnatural as his believes were, especially as a teenager, Jack had never once doubted their existence despite what his peers said. His parents doted on him, which he hated really. He thought they worried too much, it wasn't like he was their only child. Jack didn't think about that though as his concentration was mostly on where he placed his feet; agile as he was he didn't want to slip, knowing that the rocks would scrape his skin and cut him if he misstepped. His effort rewarded him with the sight of a cavern, he paused a moment to sling a navy backpack from his shoulders to search for a flashlight after wiping his hands on the khaki shorts he wore; his parents wouldn't be happy about the dirt, but even less so if he got it into his school bag. He pulled out a bottle of water and took a quick drink before putting it back. He stuffed a few spare batteries into one pocket, hefting the pack onto his back again and flicking the flashlight on and venturing in. He felt a little unnerved as he slowly walked through the cave. It was dusty, as to be expected, but so far there was nothing of interest. Aside from being dark and warm, there seemed to be nothing special about the cave, except that he noticed it didn't seem to be cooler than outside like he'd expected it to be. In fact, he swore it was getting warmer as he continued in further. He knew there were no volcanos in Burgess, so why was it so ridiculously hot?
