Start-over Georgia

"Did Damon tell you he took me to Georgia?"Elena asked.
"He tells me everything", Sophie said, "He didn't just go there for Bree, Elena. We once talked about moving there and settling down". Sophie smiled as she remembered the memory.
Sophie was lying in Damon's arms.
The cool breeze flowing through her blonde hair.
"Have you ever thought about settling down in one place?" Sophie asked Damon.
He smiled and kissed her head. "With you?" he asked.
"Of course with me", Sophie said.
He hugged her close to him and said, "I'd follow you to the ends of the earth".
"Well, then. We need to start looking for houses", Sophie said.
"Wait. You were serious?"Damon asked.
"Yeah. You can't follow your brother for eternity. You need to start your own life", Sophie said.
"Where do you propose we go?" he asked.
"Somewhere in the deep south. On a plantation. A big white house with columns. With a big long driveway", Sophie imagined.
"And where would this house be?" Damon asked.
"Georgia", she said.
"Why there?" Damon asked.
"I heard a song on the radio the other day. It talked about moving to Georgia and starting over", Sophie said.
Damon just shook his head and kissed Sophie lightly on the lips.
"I just wonder if he ever found the house I talked about", Sophie said.
"Elena…" Stefan said coming in, "Oh Sophie. Sorry. I didn't notice".
"It's okay Stefan. We were just talking", Sophie said.
Elena left with Stefan.
Then Damon came in.
"I found it! I found the house you were talking about", Damon said. He handed Sophie the picture and stood behind her.
"Damon, it's gorgeous", Sophie said.
"Then you're really going to like this", Damon whispered in her ear. He placed a kiss behind it as she shivered. "I bought it", he said.
Sophie turned and jumped on him.
Let's just say, they were glad Stefan and Elena were gone.
