Cataclysm
It was hard to believe, that we were sent back into the past, what was harder to believe WHERE we were. In Japan before either one of us had hatched.
Whom we met also surprised us.
Oroku Saki, the Shredder himself.
We got to see the Hamato clan, 'our clan', when we followed them what we witnessed was so familiar yet strange. We even had a chance to see our own Ojii-san, even if he never saw us. He reminds me a lot of sensei, perhaps Splinter took after him once he had us.
What was even more surprising was what Saki said during the night he fended the 'Yokais' off.
Splinter always told us that Saki got mad with jealousy when Tang Shen chose their master over him.
He however never told us that Shen once had been with Saki.
His words: "Take me back."
Perhaps the 'betrayal' had been different from what we always assumed.
Seeing Shredder in this humane light was so odd, it appeared that he did care for Shen and Miwa, perhaps him raising her under the name Karai wasn't all in the name of vengeance and spite.
But even if we wanted to the horrible events that we have heard so many times during our life, we could not. The past couldn't be changed; Shen died that night, leaving Hamato Yoshi a broken man and set the course for what would become our past.
Renet told us that we needed to be there in order to save our father, however in the back of my mind perhaps the truth is a lot darker.
I think we were the spark that ignited that fire.
We were the cataclysm.
We caused all of it.
Poor Tang Shen
Perhaps Hamato Yuta was correct
