Disclaimer: I don't own Bellatrix Lestrange, or the events that are used in this story, but I sort of wish I owned her hair.
A/N: Another entry to Vicky's contest. This one is for Bellatrix.
Sorry I haven't posted anything in like forever. I have been busy…and my sister is reading my copy of OOTP, and I've had a little writer's block (not fun!)
Anyway, here's the story. BTW: This begins in the middle of the Department of Mysteries battle. All of the Death Eaters are surrounding Neville.
As soon as Lucius identified the boy as Longbottom, I knew I had to have some fun. As soon as someone yelled about stunning him, I decided to intervene, because I had the most brilliant idea of repeating the fate of this boy's parents.
When Potter didn't give me the prophecy, like I'd asked, I took some action, by raising my wand, and uttering the words, "crucio!"
Oh, how that boy screamed. His screams were the best music I've heard in years. I only did for a few seconds, that way I could insert a threat. I gave Potter another chance, and he started to hand it over. But, Malfoy couldn't fully grab it, before my cousin, Sirius, that warewolf, Lupin, the crazy ex-auror, Moody, the freak who is my niece, Tonks, and Kingsley burst into the room, ruining my fun.
However, the fun increased, because I soon began to duel with Sirius. I had the advantage in this fight. Black was out of practice. He's had to hide away because he was wrongly accused of being a Death Eater. I mean, honestly, who would think that mud-blood loving traitor could give up his best friends to the Dark Lord, then kill 13 muggles.
While I was pondering this, he and I were performing a careful, perfectly choreographed dance. One wrong move, and one of us were dead. I shot a spell, ducked a spell, shot again, then fired a shield charm.
Things were happening so fast, because we were both pretty good with magic. I didn't have a second to breathe in between the dodges I was performing, and the blocks and curses I was sending towards my dear cousin.
We were creating a light show under which we were performing a crazy, dangerous dance. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun. Part of the reason I became a Death Eater was because of my love to duel, and my ability to do so.
I had no idea what was going on around me, not that I cared. If I looked, I would be dead. Sirius is improving as the battle continues. Neither of us were going to make a fatal mistake anytime soon. However, I was getting slightly tired. I was running on a lot of adrenaline, though, so I wasn't worried.
I shot another curse at him, but he ducked it pretty well. In response, he screamed at me. "Come on, you can do better than that!" He laughed.
That laugh fueled me; it gave me more inspiration. I fired the same spell, but this time, I didn't miss at all. Sirius attempted to move, but did so in the wrong direction. The spell hit him directly in the chest. Now, it was my turn to laugh.
I watched him fall and fall and fall. Finally, he disappeared behind a veil. Wow! I finally killed the biggest disgrace of the family. Take that Sirius Black! The smile on my face widened and reached my eyes. I don't think I have smiled that much since I was a kid.
A/N: So, the beginning isn't good, but once I get to the battle scene, it got pretty good, if I do say so my self.
If you liked this, I wrote a story about Sirius' death from his perspective, entitled His Last Laugh.
Review, please. Thanks!
