I'm so sorry.
Game: A Link to the Past.
Pairing: Implied (maybe?) Zelink.
Summary: The biggest tragedy in Hyrule's history, as told by Princess Zelda.
Bare
The dungeons were so cold and quiet, so when her cell's door was opened and a lantern's light fell on her, she didn't think twice about standing up with hope. Something in her heart told her that whoever this person standing in front of her cell was, he was trust-worthy.
It was a boy, she observed, probably the same age as her. Scarred and looking utterly tired, and she knew he went through a lot just to get here. His relieved smile as he examined her state distracted her from apologizing, and the feeling of his incredibly warm hand on her cold one as he escorted her throughout the castle's undergrounds got her rather tongue-tied.
It was then that she noticed his tunic… and the lack of clothing below it.
Zelda blushed hotly at the revelation, but she stood her ground, refusing to voice her shock.
He was her rescuer, a very brave lad; it would be rude of her to inquire about his way of dressing. So what if he liked to be a little bit breezy in his choice of wear? Appearances didn't matter when it came to facing obstacles.
But still, his bare legs were right there, all long and finely-toned and Thrice, those thighs! She had no idea how she managed to follow him when her eyes were glued to his legs, taking in their sight as he walked in front of her like air.
"Are you alright, Princess? Did one of the guards harm you on the way?" he asked softly, his expression utterly concerned.
"N-No! I was just thinking about what to do next, is all." She really couldn't tell him that she was quiet because she was ogling him now, could she?
"I'm sure we'll figure it out eventually." He smiled at her reassuringly, and Zelda felt guilty that she lied to him.
"Perhaps we will."
No matter how hard she tried, she still ogled him until they reached to the Sanctuary.
Hyrule was saved and the evil Ganon was defeated.
Link stood beside her, looking relieved and happy that peace was restored to the land.
She had many things to say to him, to thank him for his heroics and kind deeds.
But the thing she first said when she met him again was a simple question, "Why are you wearing tights?"
Link tilted his head confusedly, wondering about why would she ask this odd question. "Do they look bad? The salesman I bought them from said that they were in season."
Honestly, the tights looked rather good on him, she just preferred him without them to be frank. "No, they look fine. I'm just inquiring about the sudden change."
Link smiled bashfully in response and said with a bright smile, "You're too kind, Princess. I'll keep wearing them if you think that highly of them."
Zelda only offered a small smile in return, inwardly slapping herself.
To never see those legs (and thighs, never forget about the thighs) was a tragedy, and for a week, she mourned over her lost hopes.
