Disclaimer: If I owned the Nine Lives of Chloe King, I wouldn't be on here.
Chapter One: Moving
My name is Chloe King. Why does it matter who I am? I assure you, I am of much more importance than any regular human. Not trying to brag, just stating a fact. Lemme just tell you first, I am not Catwoman. So if your some guy hoping i'm some hot chick who wears a tight, tacky leather suit, get a life. Please, it will benefit everyone and yourself. This is the real world dude, stop living in fantasy. Anyways, I'm Mai. Now let's say your one of the dummies who doesn't have a clue what being Mai is. Mai are the descendents of the goddess Beset. And no, that does not make me a goddess. It means i'm half cat and half human. Now if being some mutant freak wasn't great enough, i'm the freaking "Uniter". Supposedly I have 9 lives. And in those 9 lives, i've been prophesized to unite humans and mai together once more. Now, there's these group of assassins. They call themselves "The Order". Its original I know. I'm going to skip all the boring details, so bear with me. So basically The Order is bent on killing the Mai off and making sure the Uniter does not succeed. I honestly wouldn't give a flying frick, but I happen to be the Uniter. And let me tell you IT SUCKS. I'm not complaining about the whole being spoiled part, since I am superior to the rest of my race. But I am a teen after all, for your information, and I do not enjoy being attacked by assassins. Now these murderers have just found out I am the Uniter. Whoop-di-friking-do. So i'm constantly assaulted by these scar faced freaks. It's because of these killers I have to move from my beautiful home in Brazil to San Francisco. Don't get me wrong, SF is lovely, so i've been told, but I love it here too much. It feels as if i'm living in South America one day and all of a sudden i'm forced to leave into unknown territory. And so here I am, with my beloved Brazil miles behind me. In its place, is a hotel room with a tasteful skyline view. It was nice, ill give it that. But nothing can compare to my old home. My room was based on the colors red, gold and black. The walls were midnight black, with the ceiling a bright golden yellow which illuminated the room with a million gold flecks. The red king sized mattress was covered by a black comforter with intricate golden designs. The burgundy pillows were perfectly fluffed. Nearby was a nightstand. On it was a small lamp, an alarm clock and my chargers. A table on the opposite side of the room held a bouquet of crimson roses. There was a flat screen TV sitting on the wall, with a small couch and a love seat in front. The walk-in closet was filled with all my clothes and mirrors so I can get a view of myself from all angles. And of course who could forget my bathroom. There was a door separating the indoor hot tub and the sink. Behind it, was of course, the shower, bathtub and a toilet. All in all, it was not short of my expectations. The Mai, were doing good after all. I unpacked what I had in my suitcase before taking a shower and going to bed. Tomorrow was my first day of school, and as my trainers told me before I left, I have to take San Francisco by storm.
