He reached a hand out in a last attempt to reach the other side, reach the safety of the other SeeDs, the safety of his friends, but fate was a cruel mistress this nice and as he plummeted down towards the raging waters of the black river beneath the bridge he saw the violet eyes of the cowboy widen and fill with fear. His last sight was of Zell, Irvine, and Selphie staring as he entered the frigid waters.
