Stage 1: Rehearsal

It was a normal day, in a normal town... well, almost.

The first School Play would be performed, and all classes were to participate. If you're wondering... the play is Cinderella.

As time passed, everyone was assigned parts, and so we come to the present, at the first rehearsal...

"Okay, okay! So remember. Stay in character." The director ordered, sitting in the front row with her clipboard.

"How am I supposed to do that?!" Kurosaki Ichigo yelled angrily, glaring at the student-director.

The director, Kurosu Miharu, stood up, glaring back. "Just do it, Prince Kurosaki." she spat, sitting back down again. "ACTION!"

There was a loud groan from most of the cast, but they got into their positions and waited for Ichigo to speak.

He scratched his head, sighing, then looked up at Rukia, who played the Wicked Stepmother.
"We are looking for the-"

"STOP, STOP, STO-OP!" Miharu yelled.

"What the hell?! I was doing the right line!" Ichigo yelled, resuming his glare.

"You were slouching!" Miharu yelled back, glaring at him.

Ichigo slouched on purpose. "Happy?!"

Miharu gritted her teeth. "ACTION!"

Ichigo shook his head and stood up straight again. Clearing his throat, he began his line, and Rukia looked up at him.

"We are looking for the maiden who-"

"STOP, STOP, STO-OP!" Miharu yelled.

"What now?!" Ichigo yelled.

Rukia shook her head and sighed, sitting down on a nearby chair.

Miharu jumped on stage. "You said it wrong!"

"How did I say it wrong?!"

"You just did!"

"And that's a reason to stop rehearsal?!"

"YES! You have to do it right, or the audience will hate the production! Plus, I can't fire you. So I guess I have to deal with you."

"Yeah, but Sensei can fire YOU." Ichigo muttered.

"What did you say, Kurosaki-CHAN?!"

"Excuse me?!"
"You heard me, Strawberry!" Miharu yelled.

Ichigo glared at her furiously.

Orihime walked on stage, fear in her eyes.

"Inoue-san! What's going on?!" Miharu yelled in a panicked tone.

"There's a problem backstage! All the costumes are GONE!" Orihime pulled on Miharu's arm, and Rukia looked up.

"I will return, Kurosaki-CHAN."

Ichigo's glare became a death-glare.

"All of them?" Tatsuki questioned, running on-stage. She had been off picking up paint for the remaining props, and hadn't been around.

"YES!" Orihime squealed. She had been backstage, sorting out the costumes with Ishida before going off with him for more fabric.

"That's serious." Miharu whispered, running off-stage.

Tatsuki placed the paint in a corner and grabbed her script off the nearby table in the front row, and took her place as the wicked stepsister.

A crew member appeared and took two cans, running backstage again when Tatsuki glanced at him.

"Okay. How was the rehearsal, Ichigo?" Tatsuki asked, looking at him curiously. She had seen the last of his argument with the director, but didn't figure it meant anything.

Ichigo scoffed and looked away.

Rukia stood up and told Tatsuki what had happened. Tatsuki had no reaction, and all she did was nod.

"Ichigo got in a fight." Tatsuki took in, before glancing at her script.

Miharu returned, but without Orihime. "We ordered new ones. They'll hopefully come on time."

Everyone nodded, and rehearsal resumed.

Later...

"I hate this damn play!" Ichigo muttered as he walked home with Rukia.

She grinned. "That was quite a show on its own. But you might want to practice your line."

"Shut up, midget."
