A/N: While reading a letter in a Fanfic I remembered that I had written something kinda similar for theater. The idea was to write an autobiography of a character from the play that you chose. Obviously mine was Sherlock Holmes (The Sign of Four by ?Wall Spencer?) This is the result. Enjoy!

An Autobiography of

Sherlock Holmes

By Sherlock Holmes

My friend and colleague Doctor John Watson has been after me for quite some time to write an autobiography on myself so to appease him I pick up my pen and will begin to write his request.

My name is Sherlock Holmes, consulting detective. I am obviously of the male gender, and I am of the age of forty-one. I have no relationships with members of the opposite sex. I have however been intrigued by the cleverness of one woman who has managed to outwit me but, there is no real room for this affection called "love" in my life. I leave that to Watson. I am from England, and have been too many such places as France, Tibet and Mecca during my three years abroad. I have helped solve many cases; however I believe the inspectors of Scotland Yard, especially one by the name of Chief Inspector Lestrade, deserve the credit for actually solving the cases. Hobbies? Watson I do not have any real hobbies. Oh blast it! I actually wrote that down. Fine I guess you could call it the "enjoyment" of playing the violin, even though it helps me more with my thought process. I also "enjoy" doing various chemical experiments. What major events in my life have lead to the present day? Watson! Stop asking me all of these harebrained questions! If you want to know so much ask my brother Mycroft, and write it yourself like all of the other stories you wrote about our various cases! Very well, if you must know after my fight with Professor Moriarty at the Reichenbach Falls and my three years abroad, Mycroft called me back. He asked for my assistance on catching Colonel Moran. So here I sit before you alive and well. Satisfied? What, another question? When I told you had the grand gift of silence I did not mean for you to break it by asking me all of these ridiculous questions. Alright then but this is the last one. The best and worst part of my life? Well meeting you has certainly been one of the better parts of my life. For the worst I must say it has been the tormenting lack of a complex challenge since Professor Moriarty's death.

There I have answered all of your questions. Now if you'll excuse me I believe Lestrade said he wished to see me at a crime scene. Do you wish to come along?

A/N: Well that's it. What kinda sucks is in the original document I had a really cool text that made it look like Holmes had hand written it. Oh well. Thanks for reading.

P.S. Sorry if it seemed kinda choppy. It was written quite some time ago
