A reminder

This story is more or less an introduction to a character of my own to the world of Naruto, for reflective reasons, like the "hill with the lone tree on top" setting I made for many of my Shika/Tema stories.
P.S to my friends who are reading this, just because it has a cat, it doesn't mean anything at all. ALRIGHT? Jeez...
Anyway, enjoy this very short story
He woke up to find something easily as lazy as himself lying on top of his stomach.
If Shikamaru didn't understand how his new pet felt, he would have shoved the cat off of him.
Except that he understood the animal perfectly, and the ninja let it sleep.
"Maybe if you have something as lazy as you, you'll see who the 'troublesome' one really is," were the words of the fan wielder when she had given him the cat.
Shikamaru smirked as he thought back to that moment. When she returned, Temari would be a very disappointed person.
The cat woke up, looking tiredly at its master. Shikamaru looked back with a similar expression. The cat seemed to yawn, before closing its eyes once again, making Shikamaru chuckle.
"Temari would hate you if she knew we got along like this," he said.
Shikamaru looked up into the sky. "Don't tell her this, but I hope that woman comes back soon."
The feline purred softly.
He laughed. "At least you can keep a secret."
As the clouds flew by, Shikamaru began to slowly fall asleep.
"You're not Temari," he began softly, closing his eyes once more, "but while she's gone, you'll remind me of her."
End.
