A little something special for you all on Christmas :3
Christmas eve is a day where children spend their time with their parents, being good little brats and hoping they don't wake up with a stocking full of coal and worms. However, Desmond, as much as a tiny child he was, wasn't being a good little brat. Instead, he was being an annoying little prick. Rebecca wasn't helping too much either.
"Oh c'mon Shaun, it's just a little kiss on the cheek!" Rebecca whined playfully to said Brit sitting at his computer.
"No Rebecca. No matter how many times you ask, the answer will stay the same." He said in the plainest monotone. Ever.
"You're so boring." She sighed leaving him alone finally. This all started because Rebecca had hung mistletoe over Baby while Desmond was in synchronization, then decided to purposely call Shaun over. The mistletoe's glittering ribbon shadowed both the Brit and 'Meric as Shaun stood over him, confused to what Rebecca was laughing at until he looked up above his head. Blushing slightly, he raged and turned on his heel to storm back over to his seat with Rebecca following him, half laughing, half making sense with her words.
Luckily Desmond was in the animus for this. But when he awoke, Rebecca didn't hesitate to tell him the whole story with a few extra bits of exaggeration.
"So Shaun was going to kiss me?" Desmond asked looking over at the Brit, who by now had given up fully on correcting everything that was said.
"I think it was the case that he wanted to, but didn't know how you would react if you desynced. Desmond openly laughed, more than he'd planned to making Shaun whip round in his chair, "Listen, I know I'm extremely irresistable and you wish I'd snog your brains out, but that mistletoe was for Lucy origionally, not me."
The room went silent as Lucy looked up from her work station in confusion, "what?"
Rebecca laughed nervously, "Shaun, you and your crazy assumptions. Shut up." She said forcing a smile when he turned towards him.
"Oh dear, have I seemed to bring up a little something that shouldn't have been brought up?"
"Pft irresistable." Desmond sniggered from the previous comment from Shaun, trying not to look directly at Lucy or get covered in the awkwardness that was filling the room.
"Rebecca!" Lucy accused angrilly standing from her work place.
"I swear Lucy, I didn't-"
"Outside now." Lucy pointed towards the two wooden doors leading out of the main room. Rebecca shot Shaun a look that said 'I'm so gonna kick your ass when I get back.' and in a reply, he set a cocky smile then turned back to his computer.
Now both men were left alone, luckily the awkwardness had left the room when the doors slammed shut.
"so..." Desmond announced after a few moments of silence, which re-occured after Desmond had spoken. "Were you really considering kissing me?"
A long, aggrivated sigh left the historian's mouth as he turned to face the American, "No! Bloody hell Desmond, are you really that arrogant or are you just plain stupid?" he approached the other man as he sat on the animus seat,
"Uhm...Plain stupid?" Desmond played along with a little smile on his features.
"No, you're just American." Shaun tutted turning back around to go back to his work station.
"Shaun."
"What?" The historian asked turning back around to face Desmond. The other man pointed up at the mistletoe above their heads, eyes flickering playfully. Shaun looked up at the sparkling object but before he could protest, Desmond placed his lips on the other's lightly.
He pulled away with a smirk at Shaun's bewildered expression. Before he could sit back down, Shaun grabbed his face and violently kissed his lips, "Merry christmas you idiot." He smiled and walked back to his work place.
A little smile appeared on the 'Meric's face as he sat back down on the animus.
Merry christmasd guys, hope you have a good one~
