Rainbow
"Rangiku! Rangiku"
He called cheerfully as he ran to the house. She woke up when he opened the door.
"Rangiku!"
He ha a wide smile on his face. He was unusually happy this morning, she thought.
"What?"
She said, rubbing her eyes.
"Come with me"
He grabbed her hands and pulled her up.
"There's something I want to show you"
The sun was shining brightly. It rained all night so everything was wet. His cloths were wet too, she noticed. He must've been wandering around again.
They went up to a small hill near the house.
"Look!"
He said, pointing up to the sky.
"What is that?"
She asked, staring at the sky.
"It's a rainbow"
"A rainbow?"
"Yes… do you like it?"
"It's beautiful"
"I know… But not as beautiful as you, Rangiku"
"Gin, can we ever go there?... To the rainbow?"
"Yeah, sure we can"
"Together?"
"Together"
They just stood there, holding hands, staring at the rainbow. How she wished they would go back to that time. That time when they were together, that time when his smile was real, not as cold as it is now.
They have come far since that day. They've both grown, they've both changed. But still, they haven't reached their rainbow yet.
