Shadows Consume Them

Disclaimer- I don't own Vampire Diaries.

Summary- Jeremy is broken after his parents death and Vicki leaving him, he needs help and while sitting in the shadows he finds it.

Fine again, that's all Jeremy wanted to be, fine again. He wanted to go back in time and change the fate of everyone he loved. His parents, Vicki.. himself. The alcohol burned his throat as he swallowed the cool liquid, the smoke in his other hand burned away to nothing. Jeremy felt the familiar burning sensation behind his eyes lids, he allowed a few tears to roll down his cheek, he was simply to tired to wipe them away. The cold hard brick wall that he was leaning against dug in his back, the aching in his body seemed to be more noticeable, he briefly wondered just how long he had been sitting there. Stuck in between the darkness of the night, the shadows of the school, Jeremy was unnoticeable. Not that many people did notice him, nope he was just Elena's kid brother. Grimacing at the thoughts in his head Jeremy lifted the almost bottle to his lips.

Tyler clapped Matt on the back saying goodbye before leaving the blond alone and heading toward his car. The football practice ended only a short time ago but coach had wanted to talk with the two before he allowed them to go shower, by the time they finished their showers everyone else was gone, including the coach. Tyler heaved the bag a little higher on his shoulder as he watched Matt finally leave the parking lot leaving him alone. Staring up at the dark sky, Tyler bathed in the silence. The shuffle caught him off guard, he quickly glanced around checking to make sure he was in fact alone. Seeing nothing but darkness Tyler shrugged and continued his way towards his car.

Jeremy sat silently listening to the silence, the tears wouldn't stop falling than and again he wasn't doing anything to stop them. It hurt, his parents died and now Vicki left him, everyone he loved always seemed to leave him.

Tyler stopped dead in his tracks when he heard the sobs, he turned towards the noise, but it went silent. He made a move to continue on to his car when he heard the sobs again. A few more followed, walking towards the dark shadows, Tyler found the source of the noise.

Jeremy lifted his head from where it was resting on his knees when he heard the silent footsteps. Though the hazy vision Jeremy could barely make out the form of Tyler.

Tyler watched as Jeremy lifted his head the only light source being the dull orange light from the lamp post a small distance away was enough to show Tyler the pained look on the younger teens face. Tyler kept his features schooled as he walked towards the broken boy.

The empty bottle fell drunkenly from Jeremy's grasp as Tyler crouched down in front of him. Jeremy allowed the older boy to wipe away the tears that fell on his cheeks.

"Please help me, fix me please." Tyler's heart clenched at the broken wisher, he ran a hand through Jeremy's hair. Tyler stood up from his crouched position, he immediately regretted the move when Jeremy let out a sound mixed between a pained whimper and a choked sob. Tyler sat down beside Jeremy against the school wall and pulled the younger teen to his side.

Jeremy's head lulled to the side, rest against Tyler's shoulder, he snuggled closer to the warm body next to him and he allowed the alcohol to takes its affects.

Tyler ran his hand up and down Jeremy's arm trying to keep the sleeping teen warm. That night in the darkness shadows and the silence of the night, Tyler promised to heal the young teen.

Hope you like it. The ending was hard for me to write for some reason.
