Wildcat

Take a look into my eyes and see reflected

A hundred grisly deaths or more.

One green, one blue, the mark of one who's Graced—

Does your heart tremble to the core?

A Graceling is a terror in this kingdom,

One without pity, mercy, love,

Regarded as a demon sent to haunt you,

A feral, untamed wildcat.

Take a look at my dagger and see reflected

A thousand innocent lives

Taken for the sport of a ruthless king

Who's subjects die, and yet he thrives

In his sadistic evil he will drown,

But not as long as he has me,

The girl who's like a demon sent to haunt you,

A cold, obsessive wildcat.

Take a look at this land and see reflected

The faces of the victims I have made.

I am a prisoner, they do not know

How I long for another fate.

I see it in your eyes: a chance for freedom,

A crack in my stone prison wall.

Tame me, who's not a demon sent to haunt you,

A feral, untamed wildcat.
