"Stringshot, Beautifly!" May commanded, fist pumped out.
Her butterfly Pokémon spun the white thread around and around in circles around her in a way that it turned the ordinary strands into weaved ball encompassing her. A blue light incorporated itself into the threads. It was Beautifly using Psychic to control it without needing a command. Her and her trainer practiced so much she knew the routine by heart.
"Alright, Beautifly! Now Morning Breeze!" May was quite proud of herself for coming up with the new combination move. It took a while for them to get all the moves but after hours of practice she knew her Pokémon could do it.
A warm glowing light that reminded May of a sleepy Sunday morning illuminated the sphere from the inside. Which was quickly dispersed as the Stringshot ball exploded with a burst of wind and light.
Shards of Morning Sun and disintegrating Stringshot flowed over the cooing audience on a gentle breeze, a contrast to the vicious Gust that first erupted.
Gently, Beautifly delicately landed on May's red bandanna as she bowed with light and sparkling streamers fell around them.
The audience burst into cheers.
May sighed with relief and laughed as they applauded and the judges gave her their good opinions. She waved as she exited.
When she was escaping to her locker to prepare for the next round. She slowed as she saw that Drew was leaning against her assigned locker. A smile stretched across her face. "Hi Drew!" She went in for a hug but stopped at the last minute, awkwardly retreating.
He smirked. "Interesting choice of moves back there, May."
May looked at him skeptically, she could feel her defenses rising. She couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not.
He flipped his hair. "The execution was sloppy, Beautfily was obviously struggling, and the choice of moves were interesting but there was no real thought or creativity behind it."
May scowled and crossed her arms across her chest. "I thought we were amazing. And this is coming from you?"
He raised an eyebrow. "What wrong with it coming from me?"
"Haven't you heard? Green's not a creative color! So you have no right telling me about my creative choices or not!" She stomped her foot and pointed to the doorway. "Now get out of here Tony before I get creative on where I can put your advice!"
A/N: I can imagine Drew slowly backing out Xp I think May's been taking in too much Paige.
This is for Relle XD see? I told you my idea was better! XP
