An Elven
Legend
It is told ...
... that once in the lifetime of a tribe
a child will
be born in a night without light
for in this night the twin moons
will hide
and our world will be cast in darkness
This child
will grow up in gentle care
not knowing of the curse
inherited
which will bring death and destruction
for everyone
close to him
Until some day in the future
black magic, evil
and unforgiving,
will rise to see this tribe of elves die
except
for the one who brought this fate upon them
Mourning his
beloved but still unsuspecting
of the reason for this tragedy and
his part in it
the damned elf will live on
and wander upon our
world, alone and lonely
But before death can claim him,
too,
he will choose a mate of another tribe
and again a child
will be born
in a night without light ...
... and so destiny will be fulfilled.
