Synopsis of this Story: It is 10 or so years into the future, post the events of the cartoon. In this fanfiction, Lloyd did not become an adult like in the cartoon and lived his life naturally. After an occurrence that made all the other characters disappear, peace has finally returned to the world.
Until now.
Someone has dared tipped the scale, made a deal with the devil, and a mortal man has entered the underworld. An army has been built in secret. Upon this horrible realization, Lloyd, with the help of Nya, had to bring up his own team of ninjas to protect the world, much like his uncle did in the past. The 4 destined Ninjas are Nya's robot son; a "worthless", abandoned, headstrong boy; a woman in love; and a mysterious girl with the power to leap through time.
In addition, there is a "Beacon", the Lighthouse Witch, who will lead the world to salvation with the help of these Ninjas. Without that person, it would be hopeless, and the world would fall into darkness.
Is the only way to overcome this darkness killing people, or helping them see the light?
Of course, there is also these youthful ninjas falling into their own respective teenage romances (with the exception of a couple who are not teenagers). But wouldn't those emotional issues only get in the way, or help us realize more truths?
Are these mistakes coincidence made by the clumsy or carefully thought out plans by fate?

In the end, we are too wary and make mistakes, but they are special, treasured, lovely, lessons.
Success springs from failure, does it not?

Normally, I don't add my own characters to fanfiction, but I made an exception with Ninjago. Lots of people do this in fanfiction in general, actually. But I hope it's not annoying, because it's not one OC (it was at first but I changed my mind) and most of the canon cast comes in much later. This story just... it's its own thing. Yeah, I know a lot of other Ninjago fanfictions are hella good and have plots apart the canon, this is still... different. It'll make sense, I promise. Right, anyway, this character just kinda slapped me in the face when I was reading my friend's story "Lingering Shadows" (I came up with that title by the way!) and it went on from there. My OC was going to be just in that fanfiction but being the kinda independent perfectionist that is me, I needed things to go my way! So I made this fic! I think everyone will like both versions. You should go read it! The New Ninja, I mean. It's better than it sounds... Maybe I'm bias. My character hasn't made an appearance yet! (I'm not sure when it will update, actually, since she's been busy...) I'll have more notes explaining developing this character, as well as the story and other characters. I apologize in advance if they get annoying but I think the number will thin as the series goes. Probably. ^^;

Also, sorry for any language, violence, nudity, or suggestive themes, if that's not your cup of tea. The rating might change but most likely for language if it gets out of hand. I'm not a big fan of gory stuff so that shouldn't be a big deal (I think...) Nudity/partial nudity is brief and not inappropriate. Mild suggestive themes would be like stuff in Rune Factory or some other video game like that, nothing serious. It's my story and I can do what I want. But if you don't like it, you can ignore it, because it probably won't be that big and isn't important. I don't know, I've never written erotica or anything so don't think like that. I'm not good at describing those things anyway. #1 Virgin (Also holy crap how is this as many words as my Frantic Farming fic? I might rewrite that one day.)
