The small black and white she-cat opened her eyes for the first time. She glanced around scared, and unsure what to do.
"Hello, Frostkit!" Came an excited and warming voice.
"Who's there!?" The little kit tried to sound frightening but it didn't quite work.
"It's our mother mousebrain!" squeaked her brother Nightkit.
"Oh, hi Stormlight." Frostkit murmured
"Where's Larkkit?" Asked Nightkit.
"Over there sleeping." She pointed to a small white ball of fur buried in the green moss.
"Stormlight?" She interrupted what she was saying next. "Can we visit the Elders for a story?" The black and white kit asked with pleading eyes.
"That's a lovely idea! When you get back though please be quiet, Lightfeather and her kits will be asleep." She flicked her tail at them. "Go on now!"
Frostkit ran over to Larkkit nipped him on the ear then pelted for the Elder's den.
"Hey!" She heard him yell from the nursery.
She giggled to herself. While she looked back at the nursery she ran into something hard.
"Oof!" She looked up to see Bramblepelt staring down at her. "I-I'm sorry!" she stammered.
"Ahh kits will be kits! It's ok." he smiled at her.
Since she had bumped into Bramblepelt she had gotten off track. She was supposed to be in front of the Elder's den, but she was face to face with a hole in the bramble wall.
