For what is a Rose?
But surely no more than a flower
And yet it is the symbol
For ones love to another
And yet should I compare thee to a Rose?
But surely thou art more temperate
For what other flowers
Should be comparable to thine heavenly grace?
How about a Lilly?
To represent
The snow white color
Of your skin?
Or a Tulip
For its shape
Is an amazing resemblance
To when you kiss
Or how about a Daffodil?
To represent the
Reflection of the Sun's majesty
In your hair?
And yet I must compare thee to a Rose?
For what does that symbolize?
The blush of your lips?
The flush in your cheeks?
So could you answer
"What is a Rose?"
