The Meeting

Author's notes: I have this fic on my site, but I stayed anonymous 'cuz I didn't think it was good enough or funny (and I still don't)...but oh well...
It was a lovely day in Midgar. The sun wasn't shining, birds being shot, and flowers, well whatever was left were being trampled. Yup! It was the perfect atmosphere to start out anyone's day. As always, there was a daily meeting being held inside the Shin-Ra Headquarters.
"Okay everyone! Our discussion for today's meeting is to figure out how to destroy AVALANCHE! Any suggestions?" the overweight President yelled as he pointed to a picture of AVALANCHE members. Attending the meeting were The Turks, Ms. Scarlet, Mr. Heidegger, Mr. Hojo, the always ignored Reeve, and Vice President Rufus.
"Why don't we just meet their demands?" Reeve asked, not caring if he was going to get in trouble. He knew thats no one would notice his response. Hell! He knew that no one noticed he was there at all! As he suspected, no one cared about his comment.
"Maybe I can get their leader to stop their horrible actions." Scarlet playfully suggested while a smirk developed on her face. Everyone knew that soon after this remark will follow her terribly annoying laugh. No one but Heidegger could stand that laugh. "Kya haa haa haa," finally the laugh that almost made Reno of the Turks puke out of pure disgust.
"Let's capture them and experiment!" Professor Hojo excitedly proposed nearly jumping out of his chair. He was never able to turn down an opportunity to start a new project. Rufus shuddered at the thought of another experiment. The last time he saw one of the Professor's experiment, he wasn't able to sleep for one month! He dared not to see another one.
"We should torture them slowly and then kill them! Gyaa haa haa haa!!" Heidegger commanded as everyone winced at the pain of hearing another annoying laugh. Everyone also hated Heidegger's laugh. Well everyone, except Scarlet, hated his laugh. It was a mystery to all of them how those two could obtain such horrible laughs.
"The Turks could assassinate them when they least suspect it." Tseng said with much confidence.Scarlet, Hojo, and Heidegger narrowed their eyes at Tseng for coming up with such a brilliant plan. It made their own plans look stupid and not thought of all the way, which was true of course!
"You know father, you control more than 75% of this world and I'm sure that everyone will follow you as long as they fear you. You could easily get turn all of you followers against this small group of rebels." Rufus remarked calmly. Now even Tseng narrowed his eyes towards Rufus along with Scarlet, Heidegger, and Hojo. Rufus' plan was so simple, yet almost impossible to fail. Rufus tried to hide the smile on his face, knowing that he was smarter that the others.
"I have heard enough suggestions! I now realize that I cannot count on anybody, but myself! All of your suggestions are trash to me! I will eliminate the enemies my way! I shall crush Sector 7, where the rebels' hideout is." President Shinra declared. Everyone stared at the president, shocked! This had to be the dumbest plan of all. Any of the plans suggested before would work better than this. There were millions of possibilities for this plan to fail. All the other plans were very mich smarter than this!
After a minute or two, the president noticed the eyes on him and returned a scowl to them. Once the scowl was given out, everyone ended their "shocked look". All of them agreed to the President Shinra's plan, afraid of losing their job. All, except Rufus of course. Rufus just sighed and shook his head as the meeting ended.
