Tears spilled over the brims of her eyes as she brought the blanket closer to her face, her loud sniffles over powering the silence that filled her room. She was terrified. Absolutely terrified. Her body shuddered as a loud crashing sound echoed through the cool night air, a loud 'squak' following after it. "I just want to go home.." Her voice was soft, her words interrupted every few syllables with a soft sniffle.

Peeking out from behind her blanket she peered into the darkness that filled the outside, her deep blue eyes wide with a mixture of curiosity and terror. A gigantic dinosaur looking creature slammed into another creature, this one appearing like a giant parrot, causing tons of feathers and debris to go flying into the air. She quickly covered her eyes again as she saw the parrot counter attack, a large burst of light filling the area causing the dinosaur to fall to the ground. Her sobs resumed with a new ferocity as large, salty tears poured down her cheeks, staining the blanket she clutched onto so tightly. She bit into the hard fabric as she tried to silence her scream when she heard another large crash, this one even closer to her building than before. "I want to go home!"

"Home?"

The unknown voice sounded so soothing to her, even alleviating some of the terror that coursed through her body. She slowly brought the blanket away from her face once more, her tiny hands still clinging onto it just in case she needed to quickly shield herself again. She squinted as another flash of light illuminated her room, the flash followed by a crashing sound and a cry of pure pain. The blanket was immediately brought back to her face, but this time she felt a presence beside her, and a cold nose trying to nudge it away from her face.

"Are you scared, child?"

She said nothing in reply. Instead she brought the blanket closer to her face, trying to shield herself from the outside world. Her sobs continued, her body beginning to rock back and forth. Suddenly she felt a gentle motion against her side; a nuzzle.

"Hush child, there is nothing to fear. I will protect you."

She slowly lowered the blanket as her sobs died down, her eyes wide.
