A/N: Hey guys, I'm back! This was actually not written by me, but my good friend Amber224 wrote this drabble. Be NICE, she's new!
The sky darkened as the figure hiding in the shadows emerged. John Winchester loaded his shotgun, ready to take fire. But, before he could pull the trigger, an ear screeching sound came from behind him. As he turned to look behind him, the monster before him disappeared. He quickly realized he had been fooled. John, defeated, had to head back to his motel where his sons resided.

Dean's ears perked up at the sound of the Impala pulling into the motel parking lot. He looked over to a sleeping Sammy who made a soft noise and rolled over. He waited patiently on his bed until his dad came through door. He watched as John unloaded the little bit of stuff he brought in with him. Dean rolled to the side of the bed to where his feet were hanging off and whispered, "Did you get it?" John slightly shook his head and went into the bathroom. Dean followed and shut the door behind him.

John looked at Dean with an angry, confused face and said, "What, boy?"
Dean, taken aback by his father's response, straightened his spine, looks him in the eye and replied, "You've been gone for two weeks."
John, clearly annoyed, responded, "I lost the trail. So, I had to extent the hunt."
Dean, getting more angry by the second said, "You couldn't call and tell me that?"
John quickly replied, "You boys can take care of yourselves."
Dean, losing his cool, through clenched teeth, replied,"You mean I can take care of Sammy, lie to him about where you are, and wonder if you're ever going to call or even come back!"

Hearing muffled voices coming from the bathroom, Sam rolled off his bed. Creeping over to the door, he put his ear up to the crack and listened carefully. He heard his dad's voice and instantly smiled to himself. He's back! He heard his father say, "You wanna tell Sammy the monsters under his bed are real? Be my guest, but, you have to deal with him when stays up scared all night."
Monsters? Real? But, Dean and his Dad told him they weren't real. He heard Dean reply, "I knew when I was his age."
John replied in a hushed, harsh tone, "That wasn't my fault. If you were watching Sammy it wouldn't have happened."
Sam instantly knew what they were talking about. He remembered it. But, they had convinced him it was a dream. His mind racing, he leaned in closer to listen. But, he could hear the knob being turned. In an instant, he crept over to his bed and buried himself under the thin motel sheets. Nothing would save Sammy from the horrible thoughts that haunted him that night.
