William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew"
In the English countryside,
A target becomes of Christopher Sly,
He was found on the verge of passing out,
Drunk out of his wits in front an alehouse,
A lord and his servants take him away,
And tell him lies with every word they say,
Alone in the room he wants them to leave,
But the servants come out to tell him that he,
Is to see a play in just a few,
A play that is called "Taming of the Shrew".
In the city of Padua,
Lucentio meets his love Bianca,
The woman that is beautiful and so young,
Who stole his heart before a word off his tongue,
But marriage he seeks will not come true,
For Baptista, her father, has made a rule,
Katherine is to marry first with her beau,
But a beau she not has for she is too cruel,
Then comes Petrucchio who looks for a wife,
To bring him fortune into his life,
He chooses Katherine before he sees,
The person she is once they meet,
But desire for marriage he does say,
And after their marriage, he takes her away,
She can't sleep or eat or so he claims,
That he is inferior for her to do the same,
Thus he is able to finally tame,
The one whose disobedience brought her fame.
Later they return to Padua,
Where Lucentio has eloped with his Bianca,
And then a bet was made with the men,
Of whose wife's obedience will win,
And in the end Katherine obeys,
While Bianca does not do what Lucentio says.
