The night was calm and a clear sky let show millions of brilliantly glowing stars, twinkling in the varying dark blues. A light, warm breeze mixed with sweet smells of blossoms brushed through the trees and the land. The sweet smell covered every thing, almost sickly sweet. A young man sat on a porch, letting the very breeze caress him and fill his body with breath. The wind tousled his short, black hair and his eyes were closed. He was in a far off place within his mind, enjoying the moment that he would not mind lasting an eternity.

Lanky arms wrapped themselves around the young man's shoulders and he was brought out of his eternity. They loosely hung onto the silken fabric of the kimono he was wearing. He leaned back into the embrace, eyes half lidded, feeling calm, at peace. The other person's head was resting against his shoulder, comfortably, softly.

"Hey, Kiku?", said the other man.

"Yes, Arthur?", said Kiku.

"I love you."

Kiku chuckled and turned his head, giving Arthur a chaste kiss on the cheek. "I love you too, Arthur."

Both sat, looking out at the sky, just enjoying each other. Arthur shifted himself to be right beside Kiku, his arm hanging around Kiku's shoulder's, both holding each other's hands. Arthur was also wearing a kimono, a pinkish red one with with pink and white blossoms dancing in patterns, contrasting beautifully with Kiku's greenish orange kimono that had orange and red blossoms gliding across it.

Without taking his eyes off the sky, Arthur spoke to Kiku, his voice soft and mellow.

"When will you be coming to bed, Kiku? It's getting awfully late." Arthur had a slight pout on his lips. Kiku glanced it and smiled wider, snuggling closer to Arthur.

"Soon." Kiku said. He glanced back up at the stars. Arthur looked at the cherry blossom trees, their petals swirling softly in the breeze.

"I wish we could come out here more often." Arthur spoke. "It's so much more peaceful than Tokyo. And no one to bother us, just you and me. How nice does that sound?"

Kiku smiled and looked down, at his feet with sandals, at the swaying grass, at the petals that danced on the ground. "That would be wonderful."

Arthur laughed shortly and stood up, kissing Kiku on the head. "You're absolutely lovely tonight. Come to bed soon, I would want you tired in the morning."

With that, Arthur opened the paper screened door and walked inside, bare feet lightly stepping on wooden planks. The screen shut and Kiku was alone again, gazing at the sky, until his eyes wandered to the cherry blossom trees. A petal on the breeze dropped into his lap. He looked at it thoughtfully and picked it up, running his fingers over it.

"Absolutely lovely." Kiku spoke, his voice hardly reaching above a whisper. "A night of kimonos and cherry petals."

Just a short one shot to help me get over my writer's block. I jus cannot get past this one part in the story I'm writing now (the sequelish story to His Slave, his servant, his friend).
