"Once upon a time—"
Her voice is so annoying, it's so crude, childish and and filled to the brim with white lies,
(The story nice enough though),
"In a castle far, far away—"
She speaks with such emotion and egotistic innocence,
(The story was partway about her, I guess),
"There lived a princess—"
That'd be you, right, or you're other. We've forgotten the difference,
(You both look the same through non-existent eyes),
"Who was locked away by an evil queen—"
Is that how you see the one who locked you up—an evil queen? Hilarious!
(I guess its close enough, though Marluxia might not agree),
"But she didn't cry—"
She was too petrified of her captives, I'm sure, but I bet you're going to tell me otherwise,
(Yes, yes, hide the bruises on your arm, honey),
"Because she knew her prince would come to save her!"
I digress, there's no prince coming for you. He's long forgotten,
(You're other, however, has got two. A little selfish, don't you think?),
"Soon enough, he came, as she waited in the tallest tower—"
I know how this story ends. It always ends the same way,
(You're told this tale a million times),
"And he slayed the evil queen and set the princess free—"
With a key in hand and bearing an unforgettable fruit, right?
(I know every word. Every. Fucking. Word.),
"And they got married and live happily ever after!"
There's no ending like that for you, my princess, will be locked away forever,
(Long after your 'hero' is married and everyone forgets).
.
.
"That's stupid,"
I mumble, glaring at her with coldiceeyes,
"Do you still think there's someone fighting for you, Princess?
They've all forgotten about you.
No one. Cares. About. Your. Happy. Ending."
(Choke on the irony,
After all, what girl didn't dream of being a
D I S N EY / P R I N C E S S,
With a Prince to boot)
.
"Happy endings aren't real.
The End!"

scribbled out fairytale dreams on a star,
far, far away, on a world with a heart:
BUT i STILL HOPE THEY ARE.
