Hello all! This is my first hand at writing Tony and Ziva, so please let me know what you think. I appreciate all your feedback and comments as it will only help me improve! Enjoy!
It was a blistering, hot summer day and every minute seemed to be passing at a snail's pace. Gibbs was in an irritated mood because of the lack of a definitive case for two weeks, so the team was stuck with working on cold cases. Tony decided to keep himself entertained by flicking rubber bands at McGee. Ziva just watched on with a smile on her face and laughed at his ridiculous antics. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Gibbs received a call that a petty officer had been murdered and found in Rock Creek Park. The team quickly grabbed their gear at the sudden break from their monotonous routine.
Once they arrived at the scene, they identified the body as Petty Officer Rick Walters. The team gathered up evidence and headed back to the Navy Yard. After bringing back the body, Gibbs sent Tony and Ziva out to talk to the petty officer's CO. On the drive over, Ziva can't help but take a few glances over at Tony. He appears to have been working out again lately and she admires his muscular form. Tony feels her eyes on him, but doesn't bring it up until they've reached the building.
"So, you like the view?" Tony asked coyly.
Ziva looked him up and down. "Maybe," she replied.
"Well, I definitely like the view I'm looking at," Tony stated with a smile on his face as he looked at Ziva, who was standing in front of him with her back to him.
Ziva rolled her eyes, but she couldn't help but smile to herself at his comment. The two of them had been skating on thin ice the past few months, avoiding the inevitable, but she felt that they were getting closer with each passing day.
After talking with the CO and finding out what exactly Walters was working on, Tony closed the door to the CO's office after himself while Ziva started off ahead of him.
Without missing a beat, Tony commented while trying to catch up, "You definitely didn't go easy on her in there."
"Well, if you want to get the information from someone, you have to be rough," Ziva said with a teasing smile as she turned around to look at him.
Tony stopped in his tracks and replied, "In that case, how rough would I have to be with you to get information?"
Ziva didn't reply. She only looked into his eyes. Ziva could practically feel his breath on her skin as their bodies were only three inches apart.
In the next instant, she grabbed his face with both her hands and her lips came crashing on his. She kissed him ferociously as her hands circled around the back of his neck and her fingers ran through his hair. Tony was shocked at her sudden assertiveness, but easily fell into rhythm with her lips. His hands ran through her soft brown locks as the kiss deepened. Just as Tony started to enjoy the taste of Ziva on his lips, she pulled away and he was left wanting more. Ziva rested her forehead on his as she tried to catch her breath. Tony ran his fingers through her hair once more and looked into her eyes.
"How's that for rough?" Ziva said as she smiled.
