I walked slowly to my seat on the train. I didn't look up, I just kept my eyes glued to the ground. I didn't want anyone to see the sadness in my eyes. I had the worst feeling in my stomach. I felt like I was about to throw up any minute. I knew that I just fell in love with a man I may never see again.
That man. He was my mystery man. He was perfect in every way possible. He was just breath taking. 'Don't cry. Don't cry. You must not cry over a man you just met a few seconds ago.' His smile was amazing his lips were perfectly shaped. His teeth were so straight and white. His eyes were the most amazing color of brown/hazel. His face was so proportional. I couldn't believe he wasn't a model.
'He was writing a song! I wonder what song he was writing. This man was just so flawless.' Obviously, I hardly knew him. All I knew was that his name started with Che... And he was popular on YouTube.
I began to become tired. I started to slowly close my eyes and open them. I was dosing off into sleep.
Suddenly, I was back at the train station. There he was sitting on the bench. Still scribbling words down. I wanted to talk to him. I sat down and said, "Hello." He ignored me. I repeated myself, with a little bit more volume. Again, the same response. I began to feel furious. 'Why is he ignoring me? What am I doing wrong?' I just wanted to learn his name. I touched his shoulder gently. He was acting as if I wasn't there.
I woke up breathing deeply. I didn't know why this YouTube man was bothering me so much. I just was in desperate need of discovering his name. I took my bag out a searched for my phone to go on and look him up. I looked in the smallest pocket and had a mini heart attack when the realization hit me that I had left my phone on the bench of the train station.
I got up from my seat and walked over to and elderly woman who seemed to be around 60 years old. She was reading about some drones flying over America in the newspaper.
I calmly asked her, "Excuse me, but is it okay if I use your phone for a minute?"
"Sure thing.", she replied while reaching into her purse.
I took the phone saying thank you and walked back to my seat. I sat down and dialed my phone number. I waited for two rings before someone picked up. It was his calm and raspy voice that answered. I had a sudden rushing sensation go throughout my whole body.
I smiled and said, "Hi."
