I Without a Name

When my world came crashing down,
beaten, broken,
not a sound.
Cries of anguish were in my heart.
Love, once true, I did depart.
Learn the ways of dark,
I did.
But from the light I never hid.
And in the darkness I summoned night,
Lavos Hell Fire,
burning bright.
Come the vortex,
chaos reigns,
I never could hide from my pains.
Welcome the portal, I did,
true.
And when it came, I went through.
The Land of Magic,
Heaven, yet Hell.
My love I found,
and found her well.
Bright young face,
and full of grace.
The sister for which I had yearned.
But to my home I never returned.
Guised by cloak and staff and hood,
by my mother's side I stood.
But not my mother was she now,
Lavos pupet, strong and proud.
Hating the darkness,
cursing the light.
Stuck inbetween,
no path was right.
To kill the demon,
I did try,
from it's corpse,
my scythe I'd pry.
But Lavos proved too strong,
and won.
My days numbered,
dreams undone.
But then a sacrafice was made,
gone was a life,
gone in the haze.
Then she came,
once more her face.
When all was blackness,
nothing safe.
Like a beacon of hope she stood.
The angel from my childhood.
Desperate eyes,
this one last chance.
But dare I even send a glace?
Her pendant shone,
with the light of Lavos.
Then all was blackness.
Torturous pain,
pain of the body and heart just the same.
And in that moment,
I understood.
Love was a thing,
once lost I could regain.
And so from then till now,
I search for my angel,
and shall find her,
I vow.
