Tastes like Tomatoes – Spain X South Italy

"F**CKING- *hic* HICCUPS!"

Antonio awoke to the sounds of Lovino's frustrated outburst. He slowly sat up, rubbing his bright green orbs with a yawn. He slid out of bed, dressing in his normal attire, before heading downstairs. And when he arrived on the lower level, he saw a…odd sight.

Of course, the yelling had come from Lovino, as said before. The Italian was standing by the sink, drinking a glass of water hastily. Suddenly, he jerked, causing the glass to fall to the floor and break, getting him soaked in the process.

"F***!" He yelled.

"Lovi?" Antonio asked. "What's wrong?"

Lovino looked to him with an annoyed expression.

"What the h***do you think is wrong?" He snapped. "I have the f**cking hiccups!"

Immediately after he had uttered the last word, he hiccupped again, resting his case.

Antonio just stared at him for a few seconds. After those moments were over, he broke out into a wide grin. He burst out laughing.

"B-Bastard!" Lovino yelled, blushing slightly, though he would probably never admit it. "It's not funny!"

"S-Sorry, Lovi…" Antonio said, still smiling.

Lovino huffed.

"So, what do I- *hic* do?"

Antonio thought for a moment.

"Well, there are lots of ways to get rid of hiccups. Have you tried holding your breath?" He said.

"Did that, nearly fainted…" Lovino muttered.

Even if Antonio had come up with any jokes or remarks, he had the sense not to say them.

"Hmm…." He thought. "So you already tried the water, I presume?"

"I think- *hic* that you can answer that question yourself."

"…"

Antonio stayed silent, thinking over the many ways to cure his problem. Slowly, as the realization hit, he grinned.

"What about scaring you?" He said.

"What?"

"Scaring people! It's one of the most common things people think of to cure hiccups! I'm surprised I didn't think of it before now!" He exclaimed.

Lovino crossed his arms.

"Yes, and when you- *hic* find a way to scare me, I'd love to hear it."

Antonio's grin turned into a smirk.

"I think I know a way…~"

"Sure you do—"

Lovino's sentence was cut off as a pair of lips collided with his own. It took him a few moments to process what was going on, but when he identified the familiar taste of tomatoes, he knew it immediately.

Antonio was kissing him.

He froze, his face being painted in a deep shade of crimson. Lovino didn't lean into the kiss, but however, he did not pull away.

When Antonio finally broke the kiss, he smiled brightly.

"Fusososo~ Lovi, you look like a tomato!" He exclaimed.

This only made Lovino's blush grow darker.

"S-Shut up!"

Antonio looked at him.

"Your hiccups are gone!"

Lovino didn't say anything, earning another laugh from the cheerful Spaniard.

"I told you that it would work~!"

With that, he left, leaving behind an absolutely confused Italian.

Lovino gently touched his lips with his hand.

"…c-cazzo idiota…"
