Chapter 1: The smell

How weird was it. The smell… The Doctor felt it with out warning; it came to his nose and woke him up, his head got banged by the Tardis-console. The Doctor's eyes looked around, searching for the smell's source. No one was near him, in the Tardis. So from where did it come from? He wondered. The Doctor looked at the Consol's screen- Outside, he could have seen a forest. Endless and wild forest. But where is he! And what caused the Tardis to crash here? The Doctor closed his eyes, trying to think. No, no, no! He forgot something. But what have he forgotten!
"Of course!" He yelled excited and started running down the staircase. He was in front of the doors, feeling the smell getting close to him. Whatever it was, It came from this forest; "Alonsy!" He shouted, opened the doors and got out from the Tardis.

The Doctor, dressed in his usual suite- brown pants, blue short and a long brown coat on it- walked in the forest. Around him, there were trees. They were the tallest trees he has ever seen, and he had seen billions of trees in his life; Of course, now he knew where is he; It was the Forest of the Loakry, a magnificent tribe who lived for centuries in this forest. He didn't know where they were hiding in the forest, because they were known for their hiding skills.
The Doctor breathed the air of the forest- It had the smell that he felt from inside the Tardis and bit more, like a spicy sauce. He smelled the air, feeling the source of it getting closed to him, when it suddenly stopped.
"No, no, no! I need to find it." He screamed. He looked around, trying to find or feel something unique that will help him. "Waite! The smell stopped here, but why? What is in here?" he wondered. The Doctor put his hand on the ground- It was warm. Then, he knocked on the ground. It was hard, like there was something under it. He grabbed his sonic screwdriver and checked it. Whatever it was, it was the source for smell. He started to dig the ground. He kept digging and throwing ground-parts to his left and right, until it returned. The smell. The Doctor caught the machine and pushed it out the ground. He stood straight and starred at it. It was a small black box, made from tough diamond stone. "What are you, weird box?" he mumbled. He walked to one of the near-by trees and put it on it. Then he took his sonic screwdriver again and checked the box with it. Few seconds later, the box got opened. The Doctor looked it, amazed. "What?" he mumbled, trying to understand what is going on. From the box, a yellow ghost flew out. It flown in front of the Doctor for few seconds while making a weird noise. "What are you?" asked the Doctor.
"Energy."
A living energy ghost… but how? No, the right question was… Why!
"You were locked in that box before I released you. Who locked you there?" asked the Doctor. It couldn't be one of the Loakry- they weren't that smart. But who is here besides them?
"Someone. He hunted me and tried to catch me, he wanted to use me."
The Doctor looked around him- something made the Tardis crash here. Could it be this hunter? The Doctor looked at the ghost, seriously.
"Do you remember where you lived before you got caught?" he asked. The ghost flew around the Doctor, like it was checking him.
"You will bring me my peace or I will rip your peace from you." Threatened the ghost. The Doctor smiled.
"You have my word." He promised in a soft voice. The ghost flew between two trees and the Doctor began following it.
