Seen vaugly from the shadows, Reno's out line cocks his gun, and light glimmers off of his sun glasses. A grin spreads across his face.

He strides out confidently, the hunter in a world filled with prey. He pushes his feelings out of his mind, there is a time for emotions. That time is not now.

He stops and looks around his surroundings, catching glances with Elena and Rude, who are casually standing on the side walk together. He goes to join them.

They are in battle. The sound of firing guns and screams of pain fill Reno's ears but he doesn't care. It all means nothing to him, he who has been so desensetized to violence.

The battle is fierce and Reno sees Elena fall to a lucky shot only to stand back up, her face streaked with blood and pain. Rude leaps to her assistance while icing the man who had injured her. He tosses Elena a Restore materia and quickly spins back into the battle.

Reno feels a bullet bite into his left shoulder and winces with the sudden burst of pain before turning to face his assailant.

White, shining, eyes, crazed with the heat of battle stare back at him. Reno aims his gun and pulls his trigger, only to hear the distinct clicking of an empty weapon.

The eyes bore into Reno before the man raises his own gun and fires.

The dazzling pain explodes as Reno takes a direct hit in the gut. He clutches his midrift in surprise, blood flowing out of his open mouth.
