(A/N: My first FanFic! Enjoy! i own nothing :(. Anything bold is a thought.)
I heard the morning breeze through my window and cars zooming by outside. Hearing my mom walking to the shower and my dad in the kitchen. I felt the vibrations of my brother running down the hall. I stomped over to my door and opened it.
"Lucas! Stop running! It is Sunday and I am trying to sleep!" I snapped towards his room at the end of the hall.
"All the more reason to make noise!" he said and started to bang on his drums. I groaned and shut my door. Might as well get dress. I thought. I pulled on black skinny jeans and a white T-shirt. I walked downstairs and saw my dad making pancakes.
"Hey dad, can I borrow ten dollars?"
"Why do you need money?" he said flipping pancakes.
"I got to meet Samuel and I will just pick up something to eat on the way." I said grabbing my bag and keys.
"Don't you like pancakes? Or is it my cooking?" he said looking up at me.
"Your cooking." I said. He pretended to look hurt and gave me a twenty dollar bill.
As I walk out to the car, I saw a moving truck pull into the house across the street. New neighbors I thought. Starring a little longer, I saw a boy with blond curly hair. He was like a supermodel from my Teen life magazine. I didn't realize he was looking at me till I saw him trip and land on the ground with a thump. Then someone who must be his mom put her hands on her hips and was glaring at him. I wanted to go over and help him, but I was a 16 year old with only one friend. I was very shy. When the woman left he stood up and looked at me. At first, I thought he was going to stare at me with hate. But instead, he gave me a friendly smile. I returned the smile and got into the car to hide my red hot cheeks.
I was at Samuel's house in fifteen minutes. It would have been teen but I got a breakfast burritos. I was telling Samuel about the weeks Martial Art practice. My mom wanted me to learn so I could teach Lucas. And then the news of the neighbors came out.
"You like the blond boy?" He said raising his eyebrows.
"God Sammy, I don't even know his name." I threw a chip at him, and then ate one.
"Forbidden love. Just like Romeo and Juliet. Except you don't get killed." He said reaching for my burritos.
"You better get your hands off of my burrito little boy." Using the Jersey accent that sounded like McKenzie Rider, a Jersey prep. She was the queen bee of Queens High School. They moved from Jersey to Queens, New York. She lived in a six bedroom condo, while Samuel and I lived in a four bedroom house with one bathroom.
"I can't believe school starts tomorrow. Last year of torture school." Samuel said groaning.
"Don't worry, I will suffer with you. Or drop out and leave you to die." He looked as if I killed his dog.
"Fine, no burrito for you!" snatching by burrito and locking himself in the bathroom. I was about to break the door down when my phone rang.
"Ha! Saved by the bell!" he yelled through the door.
"Hello?"
"Blue!"
"Mom? What's wrong? Do you need me to come home?"
"No! You can't come home. Lucas is at Max's house. Pick him up and go to 1511 Pearl Road. Some of my friends are there."
"What's going on?" I heard a bang through the phone.
"Remember Master Yang's fighting. I love you, bye." She hung up. Then I realized she was crying. Without thinking I grabbed my keys and bag and left.
