It was embarrassing really, downright embarrassing. I, the great dragon Malchior had lasted no longer than 3 seconds in the battle between the Titans and the Brotherhood of Evil. I hadn't even had a chance to see Raven much less burn her to a crisp.
My luck had been horrible ever since that fool Rorek had fancied himself a dragon slayer. All right, so maybe the fact that I ate his fiancé had something to do with it. Who knew humans were so sentimental? At least now my luck finally seemed to be changing.
After being sucked through that horrid Herald's portal, I had found myself in a clearing. Standing not 5 feet in front of me was a female human child. She was standing, petrified in shock next to an open fire. We looked at each other for a minute before I grew bored,"Where am I?"
She fell backwards, "Oh um...T-the north woods of Gaea." She got up awkwardly and took a few steps forward. "Are-are you a dragon?"
"Of course I am child. What else could I be?"
She frowned, "No need to be rude. What's your name?"I looked down at her; her long black hair was streaked with pink and pulled back into a braid. She was short, even for a human. She wore jeans and a long black shirt.
"Malchior."
She smiled, "You can call me Pyra. Nice to meet you Malchior." I rolled my eyes, "You seem like a nice child, Pyra. But unfortunately for you, I am hungry." I blew smoke out of my nostrils and she fell backwards again. Pitiful creature.
"What? B-But you can't eat me!"
"And why is that?"
"Because I wont let you!"
I laughed, "Try again human."
She thought for a second, "Wait! I can help you get even with whoever sent you here." I paused and she continued. "Obviously you didn't come here on your own free will. No one comes to the North Woods of their own free will. I'm a.I can control fire. I can help you." I nodded, "All right. But I don't need your help to get even with who sent me here. I need you to help me with another problem."
Oh yes, my luck was changing.
