I don't own anything but I'm going to see Catching Fire tomorrow.
River, Amy and three year old Amelia stood outside in the street, waiting for the Doctor and Rory to turn the Christmas lights on. "Oh it's cold" Amy said pulling her coat tighter.
"Knowing them they can't find the switch" River said.
"Mummy it's cold" Amelia said. River lent down and wrapped Amelia's scarf a little tighter then stood back up and put her arm around Amelia. Suddenly the whole house was illuminated by lights "Oh isn't that beautiful" Amy said. the Doctor and Rory ran out of the house "What do you think?" Rory asked.
"Very nice" Amy said kissing him.
"Riv?" the Doctor asked.
"Yeah lovely" she said kissing him.
"Look" Amelia exclaimed pointing up at the sky "It's snowing!"
"Oh yes" the Doctor said as snow fell heavily around them.
"Rory lock up the house and we'll go to the park" Amy said Rory hurried up to the house and locked the door and came back. The family walked across the road to the park. Amelia ran to the play park which had a layer of snow already. Amelia sat on the swing and kicked off. The Doctor ran over to Amelia and pushed her high into the snowy sky. "He's such a wonderful father" River said quietly to Amy.
"Yes he is" Amy said as Amelia jumped off the swing and ran through the snow. River ran to Amelia sweeping her off her feet. "Shall we build a snowman?" River asked.
"Yes, yes" Amelia said excitedly. River put Amelia down and helped Amelia start to roll the body of the snowman. The Doctor, Amy and Rory came over and helped make the snowman. The Doctor and Rory lifted the head onto the big snowman. Amelia looked around for something to use for buttons and eyes. She came back with some little stones; she put three on the body for buttons and two eyes. "Hasn't he got a mouth?" Rory asked.
"No" Amelia said sadly. Amy looked around and saw a bush with red berries. Amy walked over and picked the berries which had frozen in the cold. "How about these?" Amy said offering her granddaughter the berries. Amelia's face lit up as she took the berries. Amelia put the berries on the snowman making a big smile. "Sweetie, doesn't he need a hat?" River said.
"I have just the thing" the Doctor said delving into his jacket pocket and pulling out a fez "Here" Everyone rolled their eyes except for the Doctor and Amelia. Amelia placed the fez on the snowman's head. "And a carrot for his nose" the Doctor said giving Amelia a carrot.
"Where did you get that?" Rory asked.
"It was in my jacket" the Doctor said.
"Why?" Amy questioned.
"I don't know" the Doctor said.
"Finished" Amelia said.
"That's great, sweetie" River said.
"Brilliant" Amy said. Amelia sat on the floor with the rest of her family. River pulled her daughter onto her lap; Amelia nestled into her mother and fell asleep in seconds. "You know it's times like this when you remember the most important thing is family" the Doctor said brushing snowflakes gently out of his daughter's brown hair. The whole family looked up at the starry sky, snowflakes drifting through the still night air.
