Costume Ball
My mom and dad and I moved here the first of this month and I became friends with Jake. He is a very nice boy and I really like him. I knew he had a girlfriend who was much prettier than me. I had an idea for my fall bucket list - hoping to get asked to our school's costume ball by Jake.
Yes I know I'm not good enough for him. I have dirty blonde hair and my clothes aren't name brand like Leah's. She has black hair and she has no flaws, unlike me. Leah isn't the jealous type which I was glad of because Jake is my own best friend I have as of now.
The costume ball is next Saturday night and I haven't been to any, my parents told me I could go if someone asked me. I just hope he just asks me to go, we could just go as friends. I would have been okay with it. If he does ask me I hope Leah doesn't get jealous and fight over it, because I want to become friends with her.

It was after school and when I was sitting on my front porch thinking about Jake when my cell phone rang. I hoped it was him telling me he wanted to take me to the ball. I picked up the phone to see if it was Jake, and sure enough it was Jake. I answered it.
"Hello Ness," he said right away.
"Hey Jake," I replied smiling.
"You are probably wondering if I would ask you to the ball, well yes I am going to ask you to go with me," he mumbled.
"What? What about Leah? I asked.
"She is fine with it," he answered.
"Then yes I would love to go with you," I cried.
"It will be so much fun, we bob for apples and have a lot of other things we do," he said.
"That sounds like a lot of fun," I replied as I stood up and walked into my house.
"Thanks Nessie, I have to go now. The guys are here." He hung up the phone.
This is going to be so much fun since I was never at one. And yes, Leah said it was okay so nothing will be wrong.
