The two large beady eyes of Lemmy Koopa gazed across a new orange bike he was given for his birthday. He was super excited as he had never driven a bike and he was eager to learn. Up he jumped from his chair and dashed to the door with his brand new bike in his hands.

Out the door he flew and set his bike down on the ground. As he looked at it with excitement, he thought to himself "Hey, I've seen others do it, this can't be too hard." After his quick thought, he leaped onto his bike and started to pedal. The bike began moving forward and his face brightened right up. He started off great but after the first metre, things began to go wrong. Unable to balance very well, the bike tipped over and down he fell to the ground.

Lemmy sat up and tears began the fill his eyes. He had felt crushed that he had failed so easily. He sat there and took a look at the bike lying on the ground, looked ahead and back at the bike. "I can't just give up this easily," he thought to himself. The tears in his eyes began to dry up and Lemmy stood back up and picked up his bike. He got back on and tried again and again. Finally, after his hard work, riding became easy and for that day, Lemmy rode down the road with a smile, the happiest Koopa there was.
