Lieutenant Adventures Comic Relief Special 6 March 2015. There're Many Children Like This.

intro: watch?v=CHUO5fbtiE4&feature=

The Lieutenant stirred. He opened his eyes and took out his sonic screwdriver. He zapped the console.

The SISO Chameleon Circuit returned to the way it had been before.

The Sonic Screwdriver sizzled and fell to the floor.

"She's...fried," gasped the Lieutenant.

"Lieutenant?" asked Kellie.

"Mhm," mumbled the Lieutenant who had closed his eyes again.

"The door's shrunk," said Kellie.

"Because I..." The Lieutenant raised a shaking hand to point at the console.

"Re-set the Chameleon Circuit," said Sandy.

"Precisely," whispered the Lieutenant. "You know, I feel sorry for the children who suffer from illnesses like this the whole time." The Lieutenant struggled to his hands and knees and crawled out of the SISO. Once outside he collapsed on to his back.

"How did you know he re-set the Chameleon Circuit?" Kellie asked Sandy. "Catina, follow him."

"Because it was labelled," said Sandy.

"Fair enough," said Ann.

"It's a hospital," said the Lieutenant.

"How do you come to that conclusion?" asked Catina.

"The smell," gasped the Lieutenant. He conked out.

'A hospital storeroom and the SISO is a cardboard box,' thought Catina. She tried the door.

The door was open.

Catina slipped out. She walked among the wards looking in occasionally.

The Lieutenant appeared at the other end of the corridor with a bag of money. He left it into a ward and came out again. "I feel sorry for this lot too. We need to be grateful for what we have in life. These would love it if they could have it, I know they would. Just if we could all be aware of this. I've stabilised, by the way. What do you think of the outfit?" He was wearing a vest, shorts and a necklace.

"Love it," grinned Catina.

"Good." The Lieutenant looked heartbroken.

"What's wrong?" asked Catina.

"I don't like this," said the Lieutenant. "Let's go."

The Lieutenant and Catina returned to the storeroom and to the SISO.

The SISO dematerialised.

"Looking good, Lieutenant!" said Ann.

"Yeah! Shnazzy!" said Sandy.

Kellie frowned. "Who are you?" she asked.

"Kellie, you've seen this before. I'm the Lieutenant," said the Lieutenant.

"I'm so sorry. It just doesn't feel right," said Kellie.

"O.K. I feel I need sausages," said the Lieutenant.

Kellie cooked some sausages.

The Lieutenant ate.

The SISO materialised.

As the Lieutenant says above, the idea of this episode is just to make people aware of what is, unfortunately, so true for so many young people and what shouldn't be true for them. Our thoughts are with them.
