A/N: Newsflash! I'm finally back! This is my first x men story, and all chapters are based off of one thing I really have learned from our dear Gambit because, while I do despise him at the moment, he has taught me a few things. I don't own anything.

Lesson one: always carry a deck of cards with you.

Explanation:

Given the right fling of the wrist, the right aim and the right, let's say 'spark', a single card can do a whole lot of damage. You may want to learn to throw cards first, though. Cards are also fun to play with, and confuse the hell out of your enemy if you can light them on fire with just your fingertips, or you could just fling the whole deck at them. That should slow them down. Plus they make you look cool, dangerous, and yet somehow quirky.

Warning:

Always carrying cards around may distract you from work or classes, may make you look nerdy, may get you in trouble and may even get you mistaken for Gambit. It may be fun.

Pro's:

Always carrying a deck of cards may be fun. It may make you look cool, it may make the girls and/or boys with crushes on Gambit swoon for you. If this happens, start talking in third person. They (the cards) could get you out of sticky situations (don't depend on them, though, unless you and a fellow nerd are just role-playing).

Example:

Gambit looked on in horror as his card-throwing trainee, Lyric, proceeded to destroy yet another deck of cards, just trying to open them. This was, what, his sixteenth deck, ruined by this feminidiot? This time, though, he decided to step in and help.

"No, no, no. Like this," Gambit chuckled, showing her on another deck exactly how to open a pack of cards, without destroying the contents of the small box too.

The girl had the whole throwing part down pat, it was the opening the deck for the first time part that she had issues with.
