Brightclaw237: Welcome to the prologue of 'The Quest of the Guardian!' I only own he angel-hounds. This story is told from Brightclaw's point of view. Brightclaw will have new vivosaurs, but will also keep her old ones with her at all times.

"Okay now, so I just have to find some rouge vivosaurs. I want to know how that is even possible?" I bark, dusting off the dirt from my green fleece jacket and blue jeans. My dark gray bandana covering up my Dino Medal collar.
'Who really knows, maybe people set them free to roam around.' Slash says through the mental link.
'More like Fighters abandon Dino Medals, because they cannot raise they properly.' Sea-Rex growls.
'I agree with you, Sea-Rex. A vivosaur needs a Fighter that hey can trust.' Whirlwind caws.
'Alright you guys, we need to get back to work.' I laugh to them.
'Right!' They all roar.
All of a sudden, I start to feel tremors. 'Is this an earthquake?' Storm asks.
"No, this feels like a vivosaur. These are footsteps of a theropod, large, carnivorous, and…oh no! It is the strongest neutral vivosaur!" I bark in fear. The only predator to winged vivosaurs as well, the…" Before I could finish, a scream had cut me off, as well as a beastly roar.
"Th-that's an…Allosaurus!" A voice of a small boy screams. I quickly dash to the area, of where I heard he scream and roar. I then saw a flash of blue, white, and pale yellow. "Definitely an Allo, and a male at that!" I growl.
'He's also chasing two kids!' Slash roars.
I quickly dart my eyes to the left, seeing a small boy in green clothing, a girl in blue clothing, and another boy in orange clothing. The smaller boy has a tan archeologist hat on his head, bright blue eyes, and is wearing a green shirt, shorts, and has a pin with a dinosaur footprint emblem on the shirt. The older boy has on an orange jumpsuit or something, has blue eyes, blue hair, and black fingerless gloves. The girl is wearing an outfit similar to the older boy, but in blue. She has bronze eyes, orange hair with a side ponytail, and black fingerless gloves as well. The three of them are running away from the Allo, but what they don't realize is, that they are heading toward a cliff. 'Oh no, they're in danger!' I growl, dashing even faster.
By the time I get to the three, the Allo is slowly walking closer to them, and the kids are blocked by the cliff. "GRRAAAAAAA(FOOD)!" Allo growls.
"No you don't!" I snap, jumping at the Allo, raking my claws against his side. The Allo let's out a roar of pain, but is unfazed.
"What in the world?! Is that dog crazy!?" I hear the older boy exclaim.
Anger rises at the comment, and I snarl in response. As I continue to attack the Allo, a screech is heard. "EEEK! A Pteranodon!" The small boy screams.
I then see the Ptera, and recognize the Fighter riding it. The person that asked for our team's help. I keep the Allo busy as the Fighter rescues the kids. I then toss Whirlwind's medal over the cliff, and jump onto him, after he materializes. "Come on, let's get to that cowboy, Whirlwind!" I bark, as he flies after the Ptera. I look back, and see The Allo start to run down the mountain to find its prey. "Not today!" I bark, as Whirlwind dives down to catch up with the Ptera.
"Come in, Brightclaw, do you read me?" A familiar voice speaks through a communicator attached to my ear.
"Yes, I read you loud and clear, but stop making this job seem like it is part of a ph movie, Blaze. Joe just rescued three kids from an angry Allo, and it isn't alone." I growl, seeing a strange new vivosaur that looked like the Egyptian God of Death, Anubis. There was another vivosaur as well, this one was a giant albino snake, with yellow and red eyes. "I've just now spotted two unidentified vivosaurs, possibly in the neutral affiliation." I explain.
"What do you mean, sis! I thought that you had every vivosaur!" Hunter's exclaims through his communicator.
"Hunter, that isn't completely true. I do have every vivosaur, that is currently known. There are still far more dinosaurs that have yet to be revived though. If I manage to calm these two down, we can study how they battle under Brightshadow." I explain.
"Fine, but try not to get hurt!" Blaze barks, worry in his voice.
"Caaaaaaaw(He still is overprotective of you!)" Whirlwind squawks in laughter.
"I know, but he should know by now, that I am a warrior that was raised to be fierce and brave." I bark as Whirlwind descends to the ground, where the three kids were.
"GRAAAAAAAAAA!" Allo roars.
"Oh no! What do we do now?" The boy in green yelps, hiding behind the girl.
"We gotta subdue that critter in a Fossil Battle!" Joe exclaims, getting out four Dino Medals of four different types. "You three can even use the Dino Medals I got with me!" Joe smiles, but the boy topples over, clutching his stomach as if it were in pain.
"Oooh, my stomach! It must be acting up from that rotten banana I ate earlier." The boy says.
'He is quite the faker.' I laugh to myself.
'What do you mean, Brightclaw?' Slash asks from inside his medal.
'That kid would have lost his lunch after running all the way to the top of that mountain, and while running from the Allo.' I explain. The Allo charges at its prey, but I tackle it from the side.
"It's that dog from before!" The girls exclaims, seeing me hold the Allo off of the four of them.
"I was wonderin where you've been, Brightclaw." Joe laughs.
"Brightclaw, where have I heard that name before, the older boy asks himself.
"Joe, this is no time to be laughing! There are two more wild ones coming down the mountain, and I have never seen any vivos like these. They seem to be a neutral type." I explain. "My team won't be able to fight them off, I'll need some help as well!" I growl as Whirlwind gets me to safety.
"How in the world, did that dog talk?" The boy in green yells.
Anger boils in my blood, and I grab a water type vivosaur. "I am no dog, I am an angel-hound!" I growl, tossing the medal. As the medal is flung into the air, a flash of light emits from the center and materializes into a sauropod that has pearl white scales from head to tail, pale yellow around the legs, and it's back is covered with small spike like scales. The vivosaur is known as a Toba Titaniosaur.
'You sure have a bright spirit, no pun intended. So you must be one of the Fighters that Joe had mentioned.' Toba says through my mental link. By the sound of the voice, it is a male.
'Right, and I am going to need your help in the battle against this Allo. All of my other vivosaurs are completely out of energy, especially Whirlwind.' I tell the Toba.
'I am ready to fight alongside you, master.' Toba says.
'I not your master, I'm your friend.' I laugh mentally. "Anyways, its time to battle!" I exclaim. I look at my battle device and notice the changes in the field. "Looks like the final adjustments have been made." I laugh, looking at the six areas on my side of the field.
"Yuki and I have been working on a project that could change Fossil Battles forever!" Sparky exclaims.
Yuki walks over to a giant computer, and begins to type some things in. "Sparky and I have been studying the different vivosaurs' size, type, class, and range. It seems that in different ranges, a vivosaur can cause much more damage in its own range, rather than in an unsuitable range." Yuki explains.
"So, the two of us have been designing a new battle placement. This placement will affect the vivosaurs in many ways. For example, there is no longer an Escape Zone." Sparky says, bringing up a view of the future battlefield. "Which also means, your vivosaur can only be cured from an effect move by another effect move, one that removes negative effects." He explains. "A vivosaur will also be able to attack from anywhere on the field.
"I see how this works now. We will be heading off to round up the rogue vivosaurs now!" I bark as Hunter and Blaze follow after me.
"So then, you work best in the far back." I bark standing by the Toba. The Allo comes over to me, still angry that I cost it it's lunch. "Toba, use a Toba drop on Allo!" I bark.
'As you wish." Toba says as he raises his front legs up and slams them down on the Allo.
"GRRRRRRRR!" Allo growls.
"Sorry, but you need to calm down!" I bark at the Allo. He replies back with an Allo Fang on Toba's flank, but let's go right away. "So you have an auto-counter ability?" I say aloud. "This is going to be very interesting." I bark. "Hey, little brother and Blaze, I need you two to search for any vivosaurs that may be hunting in packs. If you find anything suspicious, contact me or Joe!" I bark.
"Understood!" They say through their fommunicators.
"Areos, use wind blast on Krypto!" The older boy shouts as the smaller theropod shot attacks me, but is blown away by the vivosaur known as Areos.
"Dimetro, use a Dimetro fang on Tophis!" The girl shouts to the Vivosaur with the sail on its back. The Dimetro sinks its fangs into the large snake, before it could coil its body around Toba.
"Thanks!" I bark.
"You're welcome, but that Allo is about to attack again!" She yells to me.
"Toba quick, use another Toba drop on Allo!" I command. Toba then rears up on his hind legs once more and then drops them onto the Allo. The Allo has finally calmed down enough to walk up to me, as well as the other vivosaurs. "There now everything is alright, you all are safe now. There are no Fighters that will abuse you now." I bark, petting the Allo's snout. The three vivosaurs then return to their medal forms.
"Brightclaw, you should take these three back home. I will meet up with your brother and friend. We will be back as soon as we are done." Joe explains.
"Alright, come on kids." I bark as we all take off on Whirlwind.
"You all can keep those medals as well!" Joe's voice fades away.
The next day, something terrible had happened. Hunter and Blaze had not returned. Joe has no idea what happened, somehow they went missing when a bizarre storm appeared out of nowhere. It has been a year since then, I am now fourteen years old. I stare out at the sky, and sigh before heading back into the hotel room. I start to pack my exploration and rescue supplies, as well as all of my Dino Medals. I walk over to a framed photo of our team. A tear drops from my eye when I see Hunter and Blaze's image. "I know that you two are still alive. I can still feel our spiritual bond, Hunter." I cry, putting the photo inside my backpack. Sparky, Yuki, Frost, Holt, and Lucy are joining me on this journey to find them. Rosie, as well as the remaining teammates of Team Fiery-Spark are staying to protect the island from any harm, while we are away. I look out the window and see the sun start to shine. "Dawn is starting to break, time for us to leave." I say as I run to the dock, where everyone is waiting. I then throw Sea-Rex into the water. We climb onto his back after he materializes. Before we could take off, we are stop by a voice. I turn around and see that it was the same three kids that I rescued a year ago. "What do you three want?" I ask them.
"We want to come with you." The girl says.
"Why?" I ask.
"To help you find your friends." She explains.
"What are your names?" I ask.
"I am Dina." Dina the girls says.
"I am her older brother, Dino." The older boy says.
"I'm…their…cousin, Todd." The smaller boy says shyly.
"We want to help you, as well as train beside you!" Dina exclaims.
"You two still have those medals that Joe gave you?" I ask them.
"Yes, I still have my Dimetro." Dina says, showing me her fire element Dino Medal.
"I also still have Areos." Dino says holding the air element Dino Medal.
'I need to test them, see why else they want to join us.' I think as I stand on my hind legs, I have been doing that very often now. "Why do you want to take part in Fossil Battles?" I ask.
"The three of us were inspired by the boy who had saved the planet about a year ago. He had also made peace with the dinaurians." Dino explains.
"We know that we cannot become as strong as that boy, but we want to become strong and connect with our vivosaurs." Dina says, taking a step forward.
I smile at her enthusiasm. 'She reminds me of you, Brightclaw.' Sea-Rex laughs.
'You're right, I can sense a fighting spirit deep within her soul.' I tell him. "Since you all have already packed, we can leave now. Come onto Sea-Rex, my Korona. Do not worry, he is very friendly. Also the wisest vivosaur on my team." I say as I hand Dina my paw to help her onto Sea-Rex. Dino helps Todd up, before jumping onto Sea-Rex. We then set sail, heading around the world. In search of my partner and dear friend.
Brightclaw237: So the prologue is complete! I have an announcement to make! For the chapters that introduce new vivosaurs for Dina, Dino, and Todd, you the reader can PM me a name to give the vivosaur. The name must be appropriate and fit the vivosaur's gender. The name that is chosen will be listed in the next chapter, and I will give credit to the reader who requested the names. This will stop once the next chapter is posted. Areos and Dimetro are both male.
