The day I branded you?

Marked you with the scar

That screamed your subterfuge?

When the rain was pouring down

And your tears were your adieu?

I remember, brother;

I remember all your hate.

I didn't wish to mark you;

Was it only fate?

I fought because I loved you,

But in the end I lost;

You bear the scar that shrieks

Of both our broken hearts.

Now brother, I no longer cry;

My heart is on the mend-

I will wipe away the scar

Inflicted by this hand.

You will always be my brother-

Whether in our love or in our hate.

For even as you taunt me,

I remember that I promised…

AN: Tada! The first piece of poetry I've ever submitted for Naruto. (grins) I posted at least two pieces for Inuyasha that I can think of (a long time ago...), but this is the first piece for Naruto.
