"C'mon, Doctor, it's not that hard!" the companion called.

"Rose, it is in fact very difficult to master the Frisbee," the traveller stated, swinging the disc around. "The physics of the—"

The blonde yelled, "Just throw it!"

The Doctor paused, accounted for wind velocity, adjusted his grip, and threw the Frisbee as hard as he could. It sailed high into the air and curved left, wobbling all the way. Rose sprinted towards the flying object, but she could not make the catch. With a loud thunk, the Frisbee hit the grass 20 feet from the girl, rolling 30 more feet until it finally came to a stop.

Laughing, Rose collected the blue disc. "You really are rubbish at this, aren't you?"

The Gallifreyan squinted and tilted his head. "Well, it could have been worse."

"Not really," Rose chuckled.

"Let's see you throw it then," he challenged.

"Alright," she tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear and tossed the Frisbee. Flawlessly, it flew straight through the air, perfectly stable. The Doctor reached out to catch it, but it slipped through his fingers and whacked him in the nose.

Rubbing his poor face, he cried. "That hurt!"

Rose had doubled over with laughter, her eyes shining with glee.

After making sure his nose was intact, the Doctor smiled and shouted, "C'mere, you!" He ran towards his girl and lifted her into the air. Rose shrieked as she was spun around, her hair drifting in the breeze. The Time Lord set her down gently, and they laughed in harmony. The companion pulled the Doctor into a hug.

He rested his cheek on her hair. "Rose Tyler, you're an extraordinary girl."

She smiled and squeezed him tighter. "I wasn't until you came along."

"Oh, I doubt that." He disagreed. "You have always been special. Ever since the beginning. Rose, you are the most wonderful human I've ever met."

"Doctor," she pulled away to look at him. "You are the greatest man in the whole universe."

He smiled, but his eyes looked weary. Rose laced her fingers with his and held on tight. Together they retrieved the Frisbee while the Doctor blamed the inferior disc for his terrible throw. The blonde laughed and playfully bonked him on the head with it. She ran off towards the TARDIS, the Doctor chasing after her, protesting her "unsportsmanlike" behavior.

Out of breath, they entered the TARDIS. After a brief game of keep-away with the Frisbee, they both collapsed against the railing, giggling. The Doctor bear-hugged Rose from behind, her hair tickling his nose.

"When should we go now? America, 1776? Scotland, 5th century BC? You could meet King Arthur then—"

"Wherever and whenever you want, Doctor," Rose smiled.

The Gallifreyan's face lit up. "I know exactly where to go." He dashed to the controls, flicked switches, turned knobs, cranked levers, and pushed a big button.

As the TARDIS came to life, the Doctor yelled, "Allons-y!" and off they went, hurtling towards their next adventure.
