Summary: AU. KaiShin/ ShinKai. What if I told you that the first time you waltzed into my life, you completely trashed my beliefs, sent vomit to my upright, decent, dull life and resurrected the softer passions I thought were lost to me forever? And you haven't even uttered a word.

Prologue

He was running out of time. Long legs sprinted towards his destination, running on autopilot even though his mind was a jumbled mess. Even if he could somehow get there in time, he didn't even know what to say, where to even begin. This tumultuous affair began somewhat haphazardly, with him pioneering almost everything.

And now, a mere few months later, his life came tumbling down. And all because of him. The catalyst. He set in motion everything he stood for against.

Only fifteen minutes more.

He should stop. Or turn back. Heaven knows it would have been easier that way, with him building back the walls of his life, instead of chasing this unattainable dream. This vision of him.

Five more minutes.

Oh, but he wanted him. For the first time in his life, he wanted to be selfish. But to covet a person? Can it even be attained? Even more so a free spirit like him? He bit his lip so hard it bled.

Just as he reached the corner, just a few meters away from the train station, he heard the toll of the train.

He stopped. He looked up to see the back of the train leaving (and with it, his hopes and dreams). He burned the image in his eyes, not once blinking, maybe as a sort of penance for everything he's ever done. And when the train could not be seen anymore, that's when a tear escaped from his right eye, falling down the pavement.

For the first time in his life, he lost.

A/N: Be nice.
