Remember when everyone was sitting by the pool in Episode 20? Well, I decided to write a small little one-shot about everyone's distrust of each other.

Enjoy!

Please review! ;)

Simmons POV

She did not want to admit it. So much had happened. How did they expect her to trust again? She glanced at Fitz who was swinging his legs in the pool with a distance look on his face. She could trust him, right/ Looking up she glanced at Skye and Coulson. With a sad look on her face, she returned to looking at the water swirling in the pool. Oh, she wanted to trust all of them.

Fitz POV

He felt hurt, betrayed. All the advice Ward ever gave him was a lie. He trusted Ward and Ward had turned that around and lied to him. To everyone. He felt so conflicted. He wanted to trust his friends. But would they betray him? He had felt a tiny little comfort when Jemma confirmed to him that she wasn't HYDRA. She was his friend. But, then again...who really were his friends anymore? He stared despondently into the water.

Skye POV

After finding out about Ward, she felt nervous around everyone. Like she didn't know how to act. She had mostly been alone all her life, there were some pretty bad people out there that had hurt her before. But the pain she felt after Ward betrayed her was no where near the pains she had experienced in her life. What he did had broke her heart. Glancing around at the rest of team she couldn't shake the painful thought. Who else was going to break her heart?

Triplett POV

He barely knew these people. At the time when he first met them, they seemed friendly, trust-worthy, and close like family. He saw the pains on their faces when they found out the truth about their friend. Fitz's anger break down. Coulson's calmness. Simmons's tears. He had felt almost welcomed into their little family when they had first met. Now he didn't know if he should trust any of them. He wanted to trust them but the personality that had been drilled into him since his academy days training told him not to.

Coulson POV

He leaned forward. staring curiously at what was left of his team. He wished he hadn't sent May away, he could have used her judgment on the situation they were in. He couldn't trust anyone any more. He turned to look at Skye, with a almost sad spark to his eyes. Not even her. There was no one he could trust. But he was used to that. Being a Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D had taught him that. No matter how much they said to 'trust the system', he never did. It looked like that was probably one of the best decisions he had ever made.
