Achilles Heel
Percy/Annabeth
Romance

"Annabeth?"
"Oh, hi. Percy."
"Annabeth, what's up?" Percy crossed the room and sat down next to me, worry etched upon his face.
"You never break the rules, and yet you came into my cabin. Did I do something wrong?"
I almost smiled at this remark, loving that he wanted to be a better boyfriend.
"No, you're great. That's it, actually. I haven't see you in weeks, and I was just missing you."
"What? We see each other every day in sword training and at meals, and other classes and stuff too."
I sighed. "Do I have to spell everything out for you, Seaweed Brain? We haven't been alone in weeks, to... talk, and such."
A sly smile crossed Percy's face, and he got up and closed the cobalt curtains on the one open window.
"We have right now to catch up."
I sat down on the bed cross-legged, and he sat across from me and leaned on the wall, legs stretched out in front of him. We talked for an hour, but I wasn't really paying attention. As much as I hate to admit this, and I'm surprised my mom hasn't blown me to bits by now, I wanted to kiss Percy really badly. He just looked so darn cute with his hair all stuck up kind of sideways in the way that it does, and I missed him a lot. Luckily, my desire was quickly satisfied as he scooted over to sit next to me, our knees touching and making my whole body go tingly. He traced designs on the back of my hand as we talked and my mind turned to Jello. The things this boy can do to me! Finally Percy got enough nerve to turn to fully face me, our lips only inches apart. He gave me a questioning look, like, is this okay? and I gave a tiny nod. The ADHD part of my mind noted that it was really cute how he still asked permission to do things like this. Then he pressed his lips onto mine. And, gods, it was Elysium. He tasted like saltwater taffy and peppermint, which shouldn't've gone together, but they did perfectly. As we kissed, he shyly inched his hands up off the sheets to hold my waist lightly. I opened my mouth a bit, inviting his tongue, and tangled my hands into his gorgeous hair. He gladly obliged, and tentatively nibbled on my lip gently. I sighed into his mouth contentedly. Then I remembered his invulnerability, and decided to try a technique I had formulated. I moved one of my hands from Percy's hair to the small of his back, and ever so carefully stroked once. He inhaled sharply and kissed me more fiercely. I stroked again, and once more. Percy shuddered and moaned as I rubbed his Achilles heel over again, until he lay quivering in my arms. He looked at me in awe, and whispered:
"You're a goddess, Annabeth."
I simply buried my head in his chest, sobbing his name over and over.
Percy held me until all my tears were dry on his orange camp shirt.
"I'm sorry, Annabeth. I didn't mean to do anything to upset you-" he began, but I cut him off with a kiss.
"I'm not upset, Percy. I just love you so much."
My eyes widened as I realized what I had said. I opened my mouth to apologize profusely, but he surprised me with a quick, chaste kiss.
"I love you too. More than you know."
Maybe having an Achilles heel isn't such a bad thing after all.
