This was written for the The Weird Phobia Challenge (.net/topic/44309/41054430/1/). I ran out of muse on this, so I'm sorry it's so rubbish :/ The deadline was originally today, so I was kinda rushing it.
Main character: Tom Riddle/Voldemort
Phobia: Peladophobia - the fear of bald people.
"I won't go bald, Bellatrix" Tom Riddle said, combing his hair in the mirror. Tom was Head boy of Hogwarts, loved by all his fellow pupils and members of staff. Except for one Mr Professor-I'm-so-much-greater-than-you-Dumbledore. Naturally, Tom had a reputation to maintain.
"I will still love you, even if you do, Tom" The young witch stared longingly at the man in front of her. It was no secret that she loved him. The mystery was, did he love her back? It was hard to tell. Granted, she was the only person he called by her first name, but he acted the same around her like he did with the rest of his little group of Slytherins – cool, cold, and superior.
"You don't understand! I have Peladophobia - a fear of bald people." Tom muttered, glaring at the girl's reflection.
"Oh, Tom! You could never be bald! You're far too handsome for that!"
"Thanks." Tom muttered angrily.
Tom, Bellatrix, Narcissa, Theodore and Lucius were strolling around Hogsmeade, scaring whoever was unfortunate to be noticed by them. The snow was keeping most inside, but there were still the stragglers that the five of them were able to catch.
"Who's that?" Tom asked, casually, pointing at a girl a couple of years below them. She had long pigtails, round glasses, and she looked frozen to the bone.
"I think that's Mudblood Myrtle." Lucius smirked, winking at Narcissa, who giggled. "Allow me." The blonde flicked his wand at Myrtle, and immediately, her hair disappeared. It took everything that Tom had not to shriek at the sight, but his face paled, and his jaw dropped.
"Excuse me, Bellatrix, this way a minute." He said, grabbing the dark haired witch by the arm. They ran until they were out of earshot of the others, and they could no longer see Myrtle.
"You will lose your hair one day!" yelled Cybil Trelawney in her mystical voice. Tom's face paled, but he smirked at her with the rest of his gang of Slytherins.
"The day he becomes bald is the day he loses his nose!" Bellatrix retorted, she face calm, and her voice sarcastic.
"So be it!" Cybil yelled back, still using her bizarre voice. She walked off, and the Slytherins continued walking slowly to Transfigurations. Tom pulled Bella back.
"What was that for?" he hissed.
"Relax!" she replied calmly. "It won't happen, that's why I said it!"
"What if it does happen?" Tom muttered at Bellatrix's retreating back.
She span around, facing him. "It won't! It would take some serious dark magic to make you lose your hair and nose permanently. I don't even think Dumblydore knows that powerful magic!" She walked off, leaving Tom to catch up.
'Dumbledore may not know that greater magic, but I do!' He thought to himself.
*52 years later*
Voldemort had just been reborn. Not been able to have a look at his new look earlier, he called one of his trusted Death Eaters, Bellatrix LeStrange to his side.
"LeStrange, pass me a mirror"
"Yes, My Lord"
A loud shriek echoed in the halls of Malfoy Manor. "BELLATRIX!"
