[The Note]

The sunlight filtered through the window and onto the dusty floor of the room. A crumpled note lay on the floor, untouched. The wooden floorboards creaked although no one was in the room. A loud banging on the door broke the peaceful silence, and when no one answered the door was flung open.
"Harry?" A cold voice demanded. Vernon stormed into the room, angered at the fact Harry had not answered. He picked up the note on the floor and after reading it, cursed out loud. Petunia ran out of the house and into Harry's room.
"What is the matter?" she asked Vernon.
"That boy has gone!" Vernon spluttered, his spit flying everywhere.
Petunia sighed and left the room. If Harry was gone, there was less trouble for everyone. So why was Vernon upset? She sighed again, and went to unpack.
Vernon would not have been so angry that Harry had left - after all, it was on less "burden" to him. But Vernon did not understand why he was so upset. He looked out of Harry's window. Dudley was playing outside in the playground of the new house, not caring much about his father. Vernon looked at the note, and re-read (that's in past tense) it again.
Uncle Vernon-
I have moved into a house with my godfather Sirius Black.
See you sometime.
-Harry
Vernon ripped the note into pieces, took the pieces into the house, and tossed them into the fireplace.
