The figures moved behind her in the shadows, gaining on her, Her eyes darted up and she saw them draw ever closer. She knew she couldn▓t run any longer, knew they didn▓t want to play with their food a moment longer, knew they could catch her and kill her at any moment.
They grew ever closer. Suddenly, she felt icy hands grab her from behind and wrap around her neck. The clawed hands pulled her down to the floor. Elongated canines sunk in to her neck and her blood began to flow into the predators body.
Her vision swam red with the blood she knew she was losing. She could feel herself slipping away.

Bella sat up breathing hard, her skin beaded with sweat. She felt as though she needed to be reassured that the Cullen▓s were not violent predators as they had been in her latest nightmares. These nightmares had only began after not seeing Edward for a long while, maybe it was a way of coping with her yearning for him. She often dreamt of him and his family, most were good dreams, but some were not.
She looked around the room and once she was assured that she was truly awake she left her unmade bed. The young women crossed the room to her dresser and pulled the top drawer open. She reached into it and pulled out the pendent Edward had given her earlier that summer. It was a small circular pendent made of moonstone with silver swirls across it. On the back it in small cursive letter it said ▒Mi Bella▓. She put the necklace on, as she always did when she felt the ache of missing Edward. Slowly she walked out of her room and down the hallway. As Bella entered the kitchen she saw her father sitting at the table reading the morning news.
Although her father knew she had a boyfriend, he had no idea of what he was, or what he was capable of. Sometimes she felt bad for having pulled the wool over his eyes, but she couldn▓t reasonably see herself risking all and telling him. She wondered absently how he would react: ⌠ Hey, guess what, my boyfriend▒s a vampire.■ ⌠What, a vampire! Well, Bella, that▒s┘that▒s absurd. I mean, I know that since you moved here you haven▓t been the happiest person but, Bella that▓s no reason to lose you mind to delusions. There is no such thing as vampires.■ Oh, she could just imagine it now┘but that would never happen, hopefully. She would have to fully lose her mind, and possibly even go so far as to throw it into the trash can.
She ate her breakfast quietly and waited for Charlie to leave for work. Once he left she made her way back to her room and tried to think of a way to contact Edward. Now that it was summer he could be any were seeing as he had no ▒official▓ obligations in Forks. She looked up at her window and hoped that by some miracle next time she looked she would meet Edwards intense golden gaze. Bella sighed to herself. She had no reason to be giving herself false hope, but she still did all the time.
Maybe the hope didn▓t have to be so false.
