A barrage of arrows sprung from below. The first few were a breeze. Weaving effortlessly between them. But the arrows never stopped... Toothless had to slow down, but Hiccup knew if he did... They would get shot out of the sky.
"Were almost out!" Hiccup told Toothless as they Soared past the large marble wall. They were too slow… Toothless yelped as four arrows stuck themselves into his left side. "Just a bit further!" Hiccup urged, but Toothless's wings had already failed. They flailed helplessly, unable to move in any direction but down. They both crashed hard through the forest below. Hiccup being violently knocked off Toothless by several tree branches.
When Hiccup came too, he found Himself under the left wing of Toothless. The sun had set… The darkness ate the surroundings. "You alright bud?" Hiccup said, placing a hand on Toothless's side. Hiccup froze. Toothless was cool to the touch. "No...No No No!" Hiccup panicked. Tripping out of the wing-tent, as He made his way to his Friend's head. He lowered his hand to Toothless's snout. A small breeze of air flowed out of his nostrils. "Good your still alive!" Hiccup laughed. He then grabbed his pocket torch and ignited it. Hiccup gasped, his legs trembled uncontrollably beneath him. Toothless had a long gash that narrowly missed his left eye. He took two shakey steps back… A small pool of blood lay around Toothless's midsection. The dried paths of blood that lead to the arrows. He fell to his knees… Toothless's left wing had multiple arrows protruding out of it. He looked down to find himself covered in blood. Ten arrows at most… Tears rolled down his cheeks as he struggled to stand. Hiccup took many shakey steps to his Friend's head. Hiccup tapped him a few times... Nothing… "Toothless…" He cried, desperate for any response. The only response Je got were tears jetting down his cheeks. He place his hands firmly on his Friend's head and shook. A deep groan echoed from within Toothless, his left eyelid cracked open, Toothless looked at him. They were still bright green. He still had a chance!
