The Dragon and the Girl

The dragon carves the soft sky with gentle wings, and does not think of lesser things.

It boasts, in the sun, its shimmering scales, and the powerful spikes that adorn its tail.

A girl to the sky it did lead; her body fragile on the back of the great steed.

The wind rippled through her hair, chasing away all her cares.

The smile, spread wide on her face, told her this time was not meant to waste.

Though the dragon's exterior was harsh, its heart was not, and the ride it gave the girl she never forgot.
