A/N: First story yay! Anyway, all characters belong to J.K. Rowling, but the starting plot came out of my little noggin :] enjoy! Hopefully!
The Golden Trio was headed to Hogsmeade on a chilly Saturday for a wonderful afternoon filled with Christmas shopping and butterbeer. Everything in the world was right now; they had nothing to fear since The Great War ended. Little did they know everything they knew would be changing.
"Harry! Stop that!" Hermione squealed as Harry chucked a snowball at her head.
"Oh come on 'Mione! I was just fooling around!" Harry replied.
Ron was hanging back and kicking snow mounds angrily.
"Ron, are you ever going to tell us what happened? Or are you going to keep everything bottled up?" Hermione asked.
"Its nothing"
"Well it has to be something if you're kicking snow like a football! Oh nevermind!" Hermoine said after seeing Ron's dumbfounded look after the mention of a muggle sport.
Ron went back to kicking with Harry and Hermione watching.
"Its just that Lavender and I had a fight. Its all her fault you know. I didn't do anything wrong and she just decides that we needed to fight. Its just so stupid!"
As Ron kicked again, Hermione spotted something.
"Ron wait! What is that?"
Hermione reached down and pulled out a photograph that was buried in the snow. It was quite peculiar. There was an older man and woman standing with three children all in Hogwarts Robes. She didn't recognize anyone standing in the picture. Two of the children had the dirty blond hair, while the third had brown. The older woman had curly brown hair, but the only thing that stood out was the sleek white blonde hair of the older man.
"Come here guys! I think this is a picture from Malfoy's Family! The only thing that doesn't make sense is that I've never seen anyone from this picture before, but that's unmistakably the white blond hair of the Malfoys."
Harry chimed in, "Hermione, maybe you should take a closer look at this picture."
